10 ton portable air conditioner manufacturers

A 10 Ton unit provides approximately 120,000 BTU/hr of cooling capacity. You must verify the Airflow Volume (CFM), typically ranging from 3,500 to 4,500 CFM, to ensure it can handle large spaces like warehouses or event tents. Additionally, check the Compressor Type (scroll compressors are preferred for durability) and the Refrigerant Type, ensuring it uses eco-friendly options like R410A or R32 to meet international environmental standards.

Industrial-grade 10 Ton units usually require Three-Phase Power (220V, 380V, or 460V). It is critical to confirm the Frequency (50Hz vs. 60Hz) based on the destination country's grid. Ensure the unit includes Phase Loss Protection and Overload Protection to prevent motor burnout during voltage fluctuations in industrial environments.

For the North American market, look for UL 1995 or ETL certification. For the European market, CE marking and RoHS compliance are mandatory. If the unit is for hazardous environments, ATEX or IECEx explosion-proof certification may be required. Always request ISO 9001 factory audits to ensure consistent manufacturing quality.

For Data Centers, prioritize units with High Sensible Heat Ratios and precision humidity control. For Outdoor Events, ensure the unit has a Weatherproof Housing (IP54 or higher) and heavy-duty Casters with Locking Mechanisms for mobility. For Emergency Backup, look for 'Plug-and-Play' designs with Quick-Connect Cam-Lock connectors for rapid deployment.

Due to the weight (often exceeding 500kg) and sensitive components, require the supplier to use Seaworthy Plywood Crating rather than simple pallets. Ensure the Compressor is Bolted Down with shipping brackets and request Shockwatch or TiltWatch sensors on the packaging to monitor handling during transit.

Focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for Spare Parts Kits (e.g., extra filters, contactors, and sensors) to be included in the initial price. For bulk orders, request a Customized Logo (OEM) and a Performance Guarantee Bond where a portion of the payment is released only after successful commissioning.

Use Secured Payment Terms such as a Letter of Credit (L/C) or escrow-based services provided by Made-in-China.com. Never wire full payments upfront; a standard 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) after a successful Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Intertek is recommended.

Choose CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) if you want the supplier to handle the main transit, but FOB (Free On Board) is often better for experienced buyers to control costs via their own freight forwarder. Ensure the supplier provides the correct HS Code (typically 8415.10) to avoid tariff misclassification and verify if the destination country imposes Anti-Dumping Duties on large-scale cooling equipment.
