200w electric bike scooter manufacturers

For a 200w motor capacity, focus on Battery Chemistry (Lithium-ion LiFePO4 is preferred for longevity) and Voltage (typically 36V or 48V). Ensure the Controller is high-efficiency to maximize the 200w output. Look for IP54 or IP65 waterproof ratings for electrical components and Brushless DC (BLDC) motors which offer better durability and lower maintenance compared to brushed versions.

Compliance varies by destination: for the EU market, CE marking, EN 15194 (EPAC standard), and RoHS are essential. For the US market, UL 2272 certification is critical for battery safety to prevent fire risks. Always verify that the UN38.3 test report is available for the lithium batteries to ensure they are legal for international transport.

Prioritize frames made of Aviation-grade Aluminum Alloy (6061 or 7005) for a balance of lightness and strength. Request Fatigue Test Reports for the folding mechanism, as this is a common point of failure. Ensure the braking system includes Electronic Braking (E-ABS) combined with mechanical Disc Brakes for shorter stopping distances at top speeds.

A 200w motor is ideal for 'Last-Mile' urban commuting and flat terrain. It is highly suitable for regions with strict e-bike power regulations (where higher wattage might require a driver's license). It is not recommended for steep inclines or heavy off-road use; for those scenarios, a higher torque configuration would be necessary.

The main risk involves Lithium Battery Regulations. Batteries are classified as Class 9 Dangerous Goods. You must ensure the supplier provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and proper Dangerous Goods (DG) packaging. Failure to comply can lead to customs seizure or heavy fines at the port of entry.

Start by requesting a Sample Order to verify build quality. When moving to bulk, negotiate based on Tiered Pricing (e.g., 50, 100, 500 units). Demand a 1-2% spare parts allowance (controllers, tires, throttles) included in the price to handle local warranty claims without shipping units back to China.

Always use Secured Payment services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Consider hiring a Third-Party Inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to check battery capacity and motor performance before the final balance is paid.

For small batches, Sea Freight (LCL) is the most common, but for high-value electric goods, Rail Freight (China-Europe Railway Express) offers a faster middle ground for European buyers. Ensure the Incoterms are clearly defined; FOB (Free On Board) is recommended for buyers who have their own reliable freight forwarder experienced in handling sensitive battery cargo.
