50cc scooter parts manufacturers

When sourcing engine components like cylinders, pistons, or carburetors, you must verify the engine type (typically 139QMB/GY6 50cc or 2-stroke Minarelli style). Ensure the bore diameter is exactly 39mm for standard 50cc compliance. For carburetors, check the intake manifold diameter (usually 18mm-20mm) and ensure the electric choke connector matches the target vehicle's wiring harness to avoid installation failures.

Transmission parts are high-wear items. You should specify EPDM rubber or Kevlar-reinforced materials for drive belts to ensure heat resistance and longevity. For variator rollers, request nylon-coated weights with a specific gram weight (e.g., 5g to 7g) to match the desired performance profile. Always ask for a salt spray test report for metal components to ensure corrosion resistance, especially for buyers in coastal regions.

For lighting (headlights, turn signals), parts must carry the E-Mark (Europe) or DOT (USA) certification to be street-legal. Electrical components like CDIs and Stators should be tested for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). If you are importing to the EU, ensure all plastic and rubber components comply with REACH and RoHS standards to prevent the presence of hazardous phthalates or heavy metals.

Body parts often suffer from fitment issues. Request ABS injection-molded parts rather than cheaper PVC, as ABS offers better impact resistance and paint adhesion. Ask the supplier for 3D CAD files or precise hole-to-hole measurements. It is highly recommended to order a 'master sample' to test fitment on a local scooter frame before committing to a bulk container order.

The biggest risks are inconsistent metallurgy (leading to premature engine failure) and shipping damage to fragile plastics. To mitigate this, use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released after quality verification. Always insist on double-walled corrugated box packaging with internal foam bracing for fairing kits.

Scooter parts are often low-value but high-volume. Negotiate a mixed-SKU container where the supplier allows you to reach the MOQ by combining different parts (e.g., 50 carburetors, 100 belts, and 20 cylinders) rather than a single item. Aim for a 15-20% discount on bulk orders exceeding 500 units per SKU, and always clarify if the price is FOB (Free On Board) to maintain control over your shipping costs.

For high-density metal parts, LCL (Less than Container Load) sea freight is the most cost-effective. However, ensure the supplier provides an accurate HS Code (typically 8714.10 for motorcycle parts) to avoid customs delays or incorrect duty applications. For urgent 'out-of-stock' items, utilize air express with DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms to simplify the import process for your local warehouse.

Prioritize suppliers on Made-in-China.com that have the 'Audited Supplier' badge, which indicates their factory facilities and business licenses have been verified by third-party agencies like SGS or Bureau Veritas. Request a video factory tour focusing on their QC (Quality Control) lab and testing equipment, such as hardness testers and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
