Adult electric manufacturers

For adult users, prioritize a brushless DC motor with at least 350W to 500W of power to ensure efficient hill climbing and load bearing. Regarding the battery, look for Lithium-ion cells (preferably branded like LG, Samsung, or high-quality domestic cells) with a capacity of 36V/10Ah or higher to guarantee a range of at least 25-30km. Ensure the battery management system (BMS) includes overcharge and short-circuit protection.

Compliance is critical for cross-border trade. For the US market, ensure the product meets UL 2272 certification for electrical system safety. For the EU, the scooter must have CE marking, comply with the EN 17128:2020 standard, and meet RoHS and REACH chemical safety requirements. Always verify that the charger carries local safety marks like UL, GS, or SAA.

Select models with an aerospace-grade aluminum alloy frame for a balance of lightness and strength (supporting at least 100-120kg). For comfort, choose 10-inch pneumatic tires or solid tires with a dual suspension system (front and rear) to absorb shocks. The braking system should ideally feature a dual-setup: an electronic brake (E-ABS) and a mechanical disc brake for redundant safety.

A professional B2B buyer should look for a one-step or three-second folding mechanism that is reinforced with a safety lock to prevent accidental folding during rides. Check the folded dimensions to ensure they fit within standard trunk sizes and verify the total weight is under 15-18kg if the target market prioritizes 'last-mile' commuting.

The main risk involves Lithium Battery Shipping Regulations. Electric scooters are classified as Class 9 Dangerous Goods. You must ensure the supplier provides a UN38.3 test report and an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet). Failure to provide these will lead to customs seizure or refusal by shipping lines. It is highly recommended to use specialized DG (Dangerous Goods) forwarders.

When sourcing on Made-in-China.com, look for 'Audited Suppliers' who have undergone third-party on-site inspections. Negotiate a 'Sample First' policy where the sample cost is deducted from the bulk order. Demand a detailed Golden Sample to serve as the benchmark for the Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI), and specify that the AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) must be 2.5 for major defects.

Always utilize Secured Trading Services offered by the platform to protect your payment. Avoid direct transfers to private bank accounts; instead, use Letter of Credit (L/C) for large volumes or Escrow-based payments. Ensure the contract explicitly states the warranty period (typically 6-12 months for core components) and the method for providing replacement parts or 'after-sales kits' (1-2% spare parts).

Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD). For example, the EU has historically applied anti-dumping duties on electric bicycles and similar vehicles from certain regions. Always check the HS Code (typically 8711.60) against your country's tariff schedule. Factor in Import VAT and Customs Duties into your TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) calculation to avoid unexpected margin erosion.
