Aluminium sheet glass manufacturers

When purchasing Aluminium Sheet Glass (often referring to aluminum-mirrored glass or aluminum-framed glass panels), you must prioritize reflectivity levels (typically >85%), glass thickness (ranging from 1.5mm to 6mm), and the purity of the aluminum vacuum coating. Ensure the substrate is distortion-free float glass to prevent visual warping. For industrial applications, verify the salt spray resistance to ensure the aluminum layer does not oxidize or peel in humid environments.

Buyers should ensure products meet ISO 9001 for manufacturing consistency. For construction or architectural use, compliance with EN 1036-1 (European standard for mirrors) or ASTM C1503 (Standard Specification for Silvered Flat Glass Mirror) is critical. If the glass is intended for the US market, verify CPSC 16 CFR 1201 for safety glazing if the product is tempered or laminated.

Request a Cross-Cut Test report to check the adhesion of the protective back paint and the aluminum film. High-quality sheets should feature a double-layered waterproof protective paint (often lead-free for modern environmental standards). Ask the supplier for the Copper-Accelerated Salt Spray (CASS) test results to determine how long the glass can withstand corrosive atmospheres without edge corrosion.

For interior decoration and furniture, standard aluminum mirrors are cost-effective. However, for solar thermal applications or high-end optical instruments, you must specify high-reflectivity vacuum-coated aluminum on low-iron glass. If the product is for wet environments like bathrooms, ensure the edges are sealed or treated with anti-corrosion oil during the cutting process.

The biggest risks are breakage during transit and moisture-induced oxidation (clouding). To mitigate this, insist on seaworthy plywood crates with interleaved paper or powder between each sheet to prevent scratches. Ensure the container uses desiccant silica gel packs to control humidity during long sea voyages.

Focus on the Total Landed Cost rather than just the FOB price. Negotiate for a breakage allowance (usually 1-3%) or ask the supplier to provide extra replacement sheets in the initial shipment. For large volumes, request tiered pricing where the unit price drops significantly once you reach a full container load (FCL), as this also reduces handling damage compared to LCL.

Always use Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released upon confirmation of shipping documents. Conduct a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) via a third party (like SGS or Intertek) to verify the quantity, thickness tolerance, and edge grinding quality before the balance payment is made.

Check for Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) in your specific country regarding glass imports from China. Some regions have specific tariffs on unframed mirrors or float glass. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin (CO), which may help in claiming preferential tariff rates under specific trade agreements.
