Aluminum chip briquetting machine manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize hydraulic pressure capacity (typically ranging from 200 to 600 tons) to ensure high-density briquettes. Key metrics include briquette density (should exceed 2.3g/cm³ for aluminum), production throughput (kg/h), and motor power efficiency. Ensure the machine features a PLC control system (such as Siemens or Mitsubishi) for automated operation and wear-resistant molds made of high-strength alloy steel to handle the abrasive nature of aluminum shavings.

An aluminum briquetting machine significantly increases smelting yield by reducing oxidation losses during melting (briquettes have a much higher recovery rate than loose chips). It also reduces transportation and storage costs by compressing volume by up to 90%. Buyers should calculate the payback period based on the price spread between loose scrap and compressed briquettes, which often results in a 20-30% increase in scrap value.

The equipment must carry a CE Marking for the European market or meet UL/CSA standards for North America. Essential safety features include emergency stop buttons, overload protection valves, and safety interlocks on access doors. Additionally, verify that the hydraulic system complies with ISO 4413:2010 standards for hydraulic fluid power safety.

These machines are primarily used in aluminum extrusion plants, automotive component manufacturing, and professional scrap recycling centers. They are designed to process various forms of aluminum, including turning chips, filings, and powder, transforming them into uniform cylinders or blocks suitable for direct charging into reverberatory or induction furnaces.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released upon proof of shipment. Always request a Third-Party Factory Audit (e.g., SGS or TÜV Rheinland) to verify the supplier's manufacturing capability and legitimate business status before transferring large deposits.

Focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the sticker price. Negotiate for extended warranties (18-24 months), the inclusion of critical wear parts (extra molds and seals), and remote technical support via video link. For large orders, request FOB pricing to maintain control over your international logistics and insurance.

Ensure the machine is treated with anti-rust oil and wrapped in vacuum-sealed plastic to prevent corrosion during sea transit. The equipment should be secured in a reinforced wooden crate or fixed directly to a 40HQ container floor using steel wires. Confirm if the supplier provides on-site installation guidance or detailed English-language video manuals for local assembly.

Industrial power standards vary globally. You must explicitly specify your local voltage (e.g., 380V, 415V, 480V) and frequency (50Hz or 60Hz) during the inquiry stage. Failure to do so may result in the need for expensive industrial transformers or motor replacements upon arrival.
