When sourcing life-size realistic figures, the primary materials are TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) or Medical Grade Silicone. TPE is more cost-effective and soft, while Silicone offers superior heat resistance, durability, and stain resistance. Ensure the internal structure features a stainless steel articulated skeleton to allow for a full range of motion and stability in various poses.

Since these products involve skin contact, they must comply with international safety standards. You should request RoHS and REACH certifications to ensure the materials are free from harmful phthalates and heavy metals. For the US market, ensure compliance with California Proposition 65; for the EU, verify CE marking for any integrated electronic heating or voice components.

Premium models should include realistic skin texture (dermal layering), implanted hair (mohair or human hair), and 3D fixed or movable eyeballs. Advanced features to look for include integrated heating systems to simulate body temperature and AI-driven voice modules. Always confirm the weight-bearing capacity of the joints to ensure the product can stand or sit without support failure.

TPE is porous and prone to 'oiling.' Buyers should ensure the supplier provides renewal powder (cornstarch-based) and specific cleaning instructions. Advise end-users to avoid dark-colored clothing which can cause permanent dye migration, and recommend mild antibacterial soap for sanitation to preserve the material integrity for 3-5 years.

This category is highly sensitive. Ensure the supplier uses discreet, neutral packaging without suggestive imagery or text. Check the specific customs regulations of the destination country (e.g., Middle Eastern markets have strict prohibitions). Use HS Code 9618.00 (Tailors' dummies and other lay figures) to ensure standard classification and avoid unnecessary inspections.

Given the high unit value, you should hire a third-party inspection service (like V-Trust or QIMA) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). Focus on seam aesthetics, joint flexibility, and scent (excessive chemical odors indicate low-quality TPE). Request a video function test of the specific unit being shipped, not just a stock video.

Always utilize Secured Trading Services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Use Escrow-based payment terms where the funds are only released to the supplier after you confirm receipt and inspection of the goods. Negotiate a 30% deposit and 70% balance after passing the QC report.

Due to the weight (typically 30-50kg) and fragility, Sea Freight (LCL) is the most economical for bulk, but Air Freight with specialized wooden crating is safer for single high-end units. Ensure the internal packaging uses custom-molded foam to prevent the skeleton from piercing the skin during transit vibrations.
