China detergent fragrances manufacturers

Selecting the appropriate scent depends on the end-use application. For laundry detergents, popular profiles include Fresh Linen, Floral (Lavender/Rose), and Citrus, which signify cleanliness. For dishwashing liquids, Lemon, Lime, and Green Apple are preferred for their perceived grease-cutting properties. Ensure the fragrance is chemically stable and does not discolor the base formula over time.

Buyers must evaluate the Flash Point (crucial for shipping safety), Specific Gravity, and Refractive Index to ensure batch-to-batch consistency. It is vital to confirm the solubility of the fragrance; for liquid detergents, the oil must be fully emulsifiable to prevent separation, while for powder detergents, it should be suitable for spray-on application without clumping.

Suppliers should provide IFRA (International Fragrance Association) certificates to ensure the ingredients are safe for skin contact. Additionally, products must comply with REACH (EU) or TSCA (USA) regulations. Always request a comprehensive MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) and a COA (Certificate of Analysis) for every shipment to verify the absence of restricted phthalates or allergens.

While high-concentrate (100% pure) oils have a higher unit price, they offer significant savings on shipping and storage costs compared to diluted versions. A dosage of 0.1% to 0.5% is standard for finished detergents. Evaluate the longevity of the scent (fixative quality) rather than just the initial aroma, as high-quality fixatives ensure the scent remains on fabrics after drying.

The main risks include leakage during transit and regulatory rejection at customs. To mitigate this, ensure the supplier uses UN-certified fluorinated bottles or epoxy-lined steel drums. Always verify that the HS Code (typically 3302.90) is correctly declared to avoid delays or fines during the import process.

Focus on sampling and customization. Request a 50g-100g sample for lab testing in your specific detergent base before placing a bulk order. Negotiate pricing based on annual volume rather than a single spot buy; many top-tier suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer 10-15% discounts for long-term supply contracts and can provide exclusive scent formulations for established brands.

Fragrances are often classified as Class 3 Flammable Liquids or Class 9 Miscellaneous Dangerous Goods depending on their flash point. You must use a freight forwarder experienced in DG (Dangerous Goods) handling. Ensure the supplier provides a 'Certification for Safe Transport of Chemical Goods' to facilitate smooth air or sea freight.

Utilize secured payment terms and consider third-party pre-shipment inspections (such as SGS or Intertek) to verify that the scent profile and density match the approved sample. For reliable sourcing, prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com, as they undergo rigorous on-site verification of their manufacturing capabilities and business licenses.
