Chinese hair manufacturers

When evaluating hair quality, prioritize 100% Virgin Human Hair where the cuticles are intact and aligned in the same direction to prevent tangling. Pay close attention to the hair ratio (Single Drawn vs. Double Drawn); double drawn hair provides consistent thickness from root to tip. Additionally, verify the weight per bundle (typically 100g ± 5g) and the weft construction, ensuring it is double-machine wefted to minimize shedding.

While many suppliers use 'Grade 10A or 12A' labels, these are not universal standards. Instead, focus on chemical processing levels. High-quality Chinese hair should be unprocessed or steam-processed for texture rather than acid-bathed. Request burn tests (human hair turns to ash, synthetic melts) and bleach tests; authentic virgin hair should be able to reach #613 blonde without significant degradation of fiber integrity.

Ensure the supplier complies with health and sanitation regulations. Products should be accompanied by a Fumigation/Disinfection Certificate to clear customs in many countries. For the US and EU markets, verify that any dyes or glues used meet REACH or California Proposition 65 standards regarding lead and chemical content. Sourcing from ISO 9001 certified factories on Made-in-China.com ensures a baseline for quality management systems.

The market is segmented into Professional Salon Supplies (bulk hair, I-tips, U-tips), Retail-Ready Extensions (Clip-ins, Tape-ins), and Medical/Aesthetic Wigs (Lace fronts, Full lace, 360 wigs). For high-end boutique clients, focus on Raw Chinese Hair, which is known for its coarse texture and extreme durability, making it ideal for long-term installs and repeated coloring.

To avoid 'filler' hair, request a pre-shipment sample from the specific batch you are ordering. Use third-party inspection services to verify the order before it leaves the warehouse in China. Always use Secure Payment services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com, which offer escrow-like protection until you confirm the goods meet the agreed-upon specifications.

Focus on long-term partnership value rather than just the lowest price. Ask for tiered pricing based on volume (e.g., discounts at 50kg, 100kg). Negotiate for customized packaging and branding (OEM), which many top-tier Chinese suppliers offer for free or at a low cost for repeat customers. Clarify the Return & Exchange policy specifically for 'defective wefts' or 'incorrect lengths' before placing the deposit.

Hair is a high-value, low-volume product, making Air Express (DHL, FedEx, UPS) the most efficient method, typically delivering in 3-5 business days. Ensure the supplier provides an accurate Commercial Invoice with the correct HS Code (6704.20) to avoid customs delays. For large wholesale orders, consider Air Freight to a major hub to balance cost and speed.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com, as these factories have undergone on-site verification by independent bodies like SGS or Intertek. Always conduct transactions through the platform's Star Direct or Secured Trading systems to ensure your funds are protected against non-delivery or significant quality discrepancies.
