Contact point manufacturers

The choice of material is critical for conductivity and durability. For electrical applications, prioritize Silver-Nickel (AgNi) or Silver-Tin Oxide (AgSnO2) for their excellent anti-welding properties. For precision measurement tools like dial indicators, ensure the tips are made of Tungsten Carbide or Ruby to provide maximum wear resistance and maintain dimensional accuracy over long-term use.

Buyers must verify the thread specification (e.g., M2.5, 4-48 UNF) to ensure a secure fit. Additionally, the effective length and ball diameter must be strictly controlled within a tolerance of ±0.002mm for high-precision tasks. For electrical contact points, the rated current (A) and contact resistance (mΩ) are the primary benchmarks for performance validation.

Ensure all contact points comply with the RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) to guarantee they are free from hazardous substances like lead or cadmium. For automotive or aerospace components, look for suppliers holding IATF 16949 or AS9100 certifications. Products destined for the EU should carry the CE mark where applicable, confirming adherence to safety and environmental protection standards.

Request a Salt Spray Test report to verify corrosion resistance, especially for components used in humid or harsh environments. The plating thickness (measured in microns) should be consistent; for gold-plated contact points, a thickness of 0.5μm to 3μm is standard for ensuring high-frequency signal integrity and preventing oxidation.

Always request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) conducted by a third-party agency. Specifically, ask for a Material Mill Certificate and a Dimensional Inspection Report using a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine). Utilizing the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com can protect your payment until the quality is verified.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for tiered pricing based on annual volume forecasts rather than single POs. Ask for free samples (excluding shipping) to conduct hardness and conductivity tests before committing to a bulk order of 10,000+ units.

Due to their small size and high precision, use vacuum-sealed anti-static packaging to prevent oxidation and physical damage during transit. For shipping to the US or Europe, Air Freight is recommended over Sea Freight to reduce the risk of moisture exposure, and ensure the HTS code is correctly classified as 8538.90 (parts for electrical apparatus) to avoid customs delays.

Verify the supplier's Business License and Audit Report on Made-in-China.com. Prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site verification by independent inspection companies like SGS or TÜV Rheinland. Always use traceable payment methods and avoid direct wire transfers to personal accounts.
