Headscarf shemagh keffiyeh manufacturers

B2B buyers should prioritize 100% combed cotton for its breathability and sweat-absorption properties, which are essential for desert climates. For budget-friendly options, a cotton-polyester blend (65/35) offers better wrinkle resistance. Ensure the fabric weight is between 100-140 GSM to balance durability with comfort, and verify that the jacquard weaving technique is used rather than simple printing to ensure the pattern is visible on both sides.

Request test reports confirming a Colorfastness to Rubbing grade of 4 or higher (ISO 105-X12) to prevent dye transfer onto the wearer's skin or clothing. Furthermore, ensure the product complies with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 or REACH regulations, particularly regarding Azo-free dyes, to meet international safety standards for wearable textiles.

For tactical or outdoor use, check the tassel reinforcement; high-quality Shemaghs feature knotted fringe ends that prevent unravelling. The dimensions should be at least 110cm x 110cm (43x43 inches) to allow for various traditional and tactical wrapping styles. Additionally, inquire about UV protection factor (UPF) ratings, as premium suppliers can provide fabrics with UPF 30+ treatment.

For Tactical/Military markets, focus on muted tones like Olive Drab, Coyote Brown, or Tan with anti-reflective matte finishes. For Fashion/Religious markets, prioritize intricate woven patterns (Hirbawi style) and vibrant color contrasts. For Industrial/Workwear, focus on reinforced edges and high-density weaves to protect workers from dust and sand inhalation.

Always utilize Third-Party Inspection services (such as SGS or Intertek) to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). Focus on the AQL 2.5 standard for defect detection. On Made-in-China.com, look for Audited Suppliers who have had their manufacturing facilities and quality control processes verified by independent certification bodies.

Negotiate based on Total Landed Cost rather than just the unit price. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 500, 2000, and 5000 units) and request OEM customization (such as private labels or custom patterns) to be included in the bulk price. For long-term partnerships, propose a progressive payment schedule (e.g., 30% deposit, 70% upon presentation of the Bill of Lading).

Textiles are susceptible to moisture and mold during sea transit. Insist on vacuum packaging or the use of heavy-duty moisture-proof PE bags for inner packaging. Ensure the outer cartons are double-walled corrugated boxes and utilize desiccant silica gel packs inside the containers to maintain a dry environment during long-haul shipping.

Use Secured Payment services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after delivery confirmation. Verify the Harmonized System (HS) Code (typically 6214.90 for shawls and scarves) to accurately calculate import duties and ensure compliance with your local customs regulations regarding textile imports.
