Hydraulic bike brakes manufacturers

When selecting hydraulic systems, prioritize Mineral Oil vs. DOT Fluid compatibility; mineral oil is more user-friendly for maintenance, while DOT fluid offers higher boiling points for extreme downhill racing. Ensure the piston count (2-piston for XC/Commuting, 4-piston for Enduro/DH) matches your target market's performance needs. Additionally, verify hose length and material (braided steel vs. reinforced plastic) to ensure durability under high pressure.

Products must adhere to ISO 4210, which specifies safety and performance requirements for bicycles. For the European market, CE marking and compliance with EN 15194 (for e-bikes) are essential, as hydraulic brakes on electric bikes face higher kinetic energy loads. Ensure the supplier provides Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for the brake fluid included in the kits.

Request a high-pressure burst test report and a thermal stability analysis. A reliable supplier should perform 100% vacuum leak testing on the assembly line. Ask for samples to check the lever reach adjustment smoothness and the pad clearance consistency, as these factors directly impact the end-user's safety and ride quality.

Confirm the mounting standard: Post Mount (PM) or Flat Mount (FM). Most modern road and gravel bikes use Flat Mount, while MTBs use Post Mount. Ensure the supplier offers CNC-machined adapters for various rotor sizes (160mm, 180mm, 203mm) to provide a complete solution for your customers.

The primary risk is fluid leakage during transit due to pressure changes in air freight. Ensure the supplier uses double-sealed packaging and complies with IATA regulations for shipping liquids. If shipping 'dry' (without fluid), verify that the internal seals are pre-lubricated to prevent seal drying and cracking before they reach the end consumer.

Focus on OEM/ODM capabilities and the availability of spare parts (seals, bleed kits, and brake pads). Negotiate a warranty period of at least 12–24 months. For bulk orders, request a 1-2% defect allowance or spare units included in the shipment to cover potential DOA (Dead on Arrival) issues without needing individual returns.

Always utilize Secured Trading Services on Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released upon confirmation of shipping documents. Conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third party to verify that the anodizing quality and laser-etched branding meet your specifications before the balance payment is made.

Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) that some regions (like the EU) impose on bicycle parts originating from specific countries. Check the Harmonized System (HS) Code 8714.94 for your local tariff rates. Working with established exporters on Made-in-China.com who provide accurate Certificates of Origin can help in navigating preferential trade agreements and reducing tax liabilities.
