Kaftan dress abaya manufacturers

When sourcing Kaftans, prioritize fabrics like Nida (Korean or Japanese) for its smooth texture and durability, or Cey Crinkle/Chiffon for breathability. Ensure the fabric weight (GSM) is appropriate for the season; 120-150 GSM is ideal for summer wear to ensure the garment is opaque yet lightweight. Always verify colorfastness to prevent bleeding during washing.

Standardization is critical. Request a detailed size chart that includes length (usually 52-62 inches), bust, and sleeve length. For the Middle Eastern market, loose-fit (oversized) patterns are standard, whereas Western markets may require tapered waists or adjustable inner belts. Ensure the supplier offers ±1cm tolerance in manual measurements.

Focus on the density of embroidery (stitch count) and the quality of embellishments. For luxury lines, specify hot-fix crystals (like DMC or Swarovski) rather than glued plastic beads to ensure they don't fall off. Check for French seams or overlocked edges to prevent fraying, especially in delicate fabrics like silk or satin.

Products must have permanent care labels and fiber content tags (e.g., 100% Polyester). For the US market, ensure compliance with FTC textile labeling acts, and for the EU, adhere to REACH regulations regarding azo dyes and harmful chemicals. If selling as 'Organic,' the supplier must provide GOTS certification.

Always order a pre-production sample before the full run. Utilize third-party inspection services (like V-Trust or QIMA) to perform a Final Random Inspection (FRI) at the factory. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have had their manufacturing capabilities verified by independent bodies like SGS or TÜV Rheinland.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 100, 500, 1000 pieces) and discuss packaging customization (branded polybags) as part of the deal. For long-term partnerships, request favorable payment terms such as a 30% deposit and 70% balance after inspection but before shipment.

For bulk orders, Sea Freight (LCL/FCL) is most cost-effective, but for fast-fashion cycles, Air Freight is necessary. Ensure the supplier provides a Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and Certificate of Origin to benefit from potential trade agreements. Use Incoterms like FOB (Free on Board) to maintain control over your shipping costs and logistics providers.

Use Secured Payment services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure your funds are only released to the supplier once you confirm receipt of goods. Avoid direct wire transfers to private bank accounts; always pay to the company's registered business account verified on the platform.
