Multi-color t-shirts price manufacturers

When sourcing multi-color T-shirts, the fabric weight (GSM) and material composition are the primary indicators of quality. For standard promotional use, a weight of 140-160 GSM is common, while premium retail-grade shirts usually range from 180-220 GSM. Ensure the supplier uses combed cotton rather than carded cotton to prevent pilling and ensure a smoother surface for printing. If the shirts are a blend, a 60% cotton / 40% polyester mix offers a good balance of breathability and wrinkle resistance.

To prevent bleeding or fading, especially in vibrant or dark colors, verify that the supplier adheres to ISO 105-C06 standards for color fastness to washing. Ask for reactive dyeing processes, which provide better color depth and longevity compared to pigment dyeing. For multi-color assortments, ensure the supplier can provide Pantone matching (PMS) to maintain brand consistency across different production batches.

For large bulk orders (over 500 units), Screen Printing is the most economical and durable option. For smaller, highly detailed multi-color designs or photographic prints, Direct-to-Garment (DTG) or Heat Transfer is preferred, though the unit cost is higher. If you are looking for high-end branding, embroidery or silicone 3D printing adds significant perceived value to the garment.

Ensure the products are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, which guarantees the textiles are free from harmful chemicals. For the U.S. market, compliance with CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) is mandatory, particularly regarding lead content in inks and flammability standards. For the EU market, ensure the dyes used are REACH compliant to avoid customs seizures or legal liabilities.

Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) in the specific colors ordered. Digital photos can be misleading due to screen calibration; therefore, physical sample approval is the only way to guarantee color accuracy. Include a clause in your contract that mass production must match the approved golden sample within a 5% variance range.

Focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate based on volume tiers; for example, ask for a price break at 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000 units. You can also reduce costs by choosing standardized packaging (polybags) instead of custom retail boxes and opting for FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over your shipping logistics.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is held in escrow until the shipping documents are verified. Never wire 100% of the payment upfront; a standard industry practice is a 30% deposit to start production and the 70% balance paid after a successful third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI).

For orders exceeding 200kg, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical choice, though it takes 30-45 days. For urgent seasonal stock, Air Freight is faster (5-7 days) but significantly more expensive. If you are a small-to-medium business, consider Door-to-Door (DDP) shipping, where the supplier handles all customs clearance and import duties, simplifying the process for the buyer.
