Solar heat pipe tube manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize borosilicate glass 3.3 for its superior thermal shock resistance and high transparency. The selective absorption coating (typically AL-N/AL or SS-AL-Nx/Cu) should have an absorption rate of ≥94% and an emissivity rate of ≤6%. For the internal heat pipe, ensure it is made of high-purity oxygen-free copper to prevent corrosion and ensure a start-up temperature below 25°C for efficient heat transfer even in low-light conditions.

To ensure market access and quality assurance, products must meet Solar Keymark (EN12975/12976) for the European market and SRCC (OG-100) for the United States. Additionally, verify that the manufacturer holds ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental standards. For pressurized systems, the heat pipe must withstand a test pressure of at least 1.2 MPa to ensure operational safety.

Check for the presence of a barium getter, which should appear as a clear silver mirror at the bottom of the tube; if it turns white, the vacuum has been compromised. High-quality tubes maintain a vacuum degree of P < 5x10⁻³ Pa. Ask for hail resistance test reports, ensuring the glass can withstand impacts from hailstones up to 25mm in diameter at terminal velocity.

Solar heat pipe tubes are ideal for pressurized solar water heaters, balcony-mounted systems, and industrial process heating. Unlike all-glass tubes, heat pipes offer freeze protection down to -35°C, making them suitable for cold climates. Buyers should expect a stagnation temperature of 200°C to 250°C, which allows for high-efficiency energy conversion even in winter.

Glass tubes are highly fragile. You must mandate export-standard five-layer corrugated cartons with EPS (expanded polystyrene) foam inserts for each individual tube. For bulk sea freight, require palletization with shrink wrap and wooden crates to prevent shifting. It is highly recommended to use Made-in-China.com's inspection services to verify packing integrity before the container is sealed.

Focus on the copper thickness of the heat pipe condenser and the fin material (aluminum vs. copper), as these significantly impact the price. Request a tiered pricing model where the unit cost drops by 10-15% for full container loads (FCL). Negotiate a warranty period of at least 5 to 10 years, and insist that 1-2% extra glass tubes be included free of charge in every shipment to cover potential transit breakage.

Always verify the supplier's Audited Supplier status on Made-in-China.com to ensure they are a legitimate manufacturer rather than a small trading company. Use Secured Trading services to hold payments in escrow until the goods are shipped. Before placing a large order, request a factory video audit to inspect their vacuum exhaust equipment and coating lines.

Be aware of Anti-dumping duties that some regions (like the EU or USA) may impose on Chinese glass products; always check the specific HS Code (typically 8419.90 or 7020.00) against your local tariff schedule. For shipping, FOB (Free On Board) is preferred for experienced buyers to control freight costs, but CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) is safer for new buyers as it ensures the seller covers insurance for the fragile cargo.
