Tritan wine glass manufacturers

Tritan is a BPA-free copolyester that offers the clarity of glass without the fragility. Its primary advantages include extreme durability (shatter-proof), high chemical resistance (it won't cloud or crack after repeated dishwasher cycles), and it is impact-resistant, making it ideal for high-traffic commercial environments or outdoor events.

Since these products contact beverages, they must meet strict food safety standards. Ensure the supplier provides FDA (U.S.) or LFGB (EU) compliance certifications. Additionally, verify that the material is 100% Eastman Tritan™ to ensure it is free from all bisphenols (BPA, BPS, etc.) and meets ISO 9001 quality management systems.

Buyers should look for injection-molded products with smooth rim finishing. High-quality Tritan glasses should have no visible mold lines on the bowl and a weighted base for stability. Check for UV resistance properties if the glasses are intended for outdoor use to prevent yellowing over time.

Suppliers typically offer laser engraving, silk-screen printing, or pad printing for branding. For premium orders, you can request custom Pantone colors for the stem or base. Ensure the supplier uses food-grade inks that are tested for abrasion resistance to prevent the logo from peeling during industrial dishwashing.

Request an Eastman Tritan™ Material Authorization Certificate from the supplier. Many low-cost factories substitute Tritan with cheaper PC (Polycarbonate) or AS plastics. Conduct a third-party lab test on random samples to confirm the absence of BPA and verify the heat deflection temperature (Tritan typically withstands up to 100°C).

Due to the lightweight but high-volume nature of wine glasses, Sea Freight (FCL or LCL) is the most economical. To prevent deformation during transit in hot containers, ensure the supplier uses double-walled corrugated export cartons and internal dividers. For smaller trial orders, Air Freight is viable but significantly increases the unit cost.

Utilize Secured Trading Services on reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your deposit. A standard B2B payment structure is 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L). Always insist on a Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third party (like SGS or Intertek) before releasing the final payment.

Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties or specific Plastic Taxes in your destination country (e.g., the UK Plastic Packaging Tax). Ensure the HS Code (typically 3924.10) is correctly declared on the Commercial Invoice to avoid customs delays or incorrect tariff applications.
