Wholesale garlic granule manufacturers

When sourcing garlic granules, quality is determined by mesh size, color, and moisture content. Standard mesh sizes typically range from G1 (8-16 mesh) to G4 (40-80 mesh). Ensure the product has a creamy white to light yellow color without dark specks, which indicate scorching during dehydration. The moisture content must be below 6% to prevent clumping and microbial growth, while the SO2 (Sulfur Dioxide) level should be strictly controlled according to the destination country's food safety standards.

To ensure compliance and market access, prioritize suppliers with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and ISO 22000 certifications. For the US market, FDA registration is mandatory, and for European markets, BRC (British Retail Consortium) or IFS (International Featured Standards) are highly preferred. Additionally, request Phytosanitary Certificates and Third-party Lab Test Reports (e.g., SGS or Eurofins) to verify the absence of pesticides, heavy metals, and pathogens like Salmonella.

The price of garlic granules is highly sensitive to the raw garlic market price in origin regions like Jinxiang, China. To optimize costs, consider the crop cycle (harvest usually occurs in June); purchasing during peak harvest can yield better rates. Bulk packaging in 12.5kg x 2 foil bags per carton is the most cost-effective for shipping. Buyers should also evaluate the Allicin content, as higher potency may justify a premium price for pharmaceutical or high-end food processing applications.

Garlic granules are widely used in spice blends, meat processing, canned foods, and restaurant catering. Because they are hygroscopic (absorb moisture easily), they must be stored in a cool, dry place (temperature <25°C, humidity <60%) away from direct sunlight. Under proper conditions, the shelf life is typically 18 to 24 months. Ensure the supplier uses vacuum-sealed or nitrogen-flushed packaging to preserve the pungent aroma and flavor profile over long-distance transit.

The primary risks include adulteration (mixing with corn starch or older stock) and quality degradation during sea freight. To mitigate this, use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services and insist on a Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI). Ensure the Bill of Lading matches the specific grade ordered to avoid customs clearance issues related to misdeclaration.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers and payment terms. For new suppliers, a 30% deposit and 70% against the Copy of Bill of Lading is standard. Negotiate for free samples (buyer pays courier fee) to verify the rehydration ratio and flavor intensity before committing to a full container load (FCL).

Garlic granules are sensitive to odors; therefore, they must be shipped in clean, dry containers that have not previously carried odorous chemicals. Request silica gel desiccant bags inside the container to manage 'container rain' during temperature fluctuations across different climate zones. For large orders, FOB (Free On Board) is recommended to maintain control over freight costs and insurance.
