Wholesale trolly bag manufacturers

When sourcing trolley bags, the shell material determines both durability and price point. For Hard Shell bags, prioritize 100% Polycarbonate (PC) for high impact resistance or ABS+PC blends for a balance of cost and strength. For Soft Shell bags, look for high-denier fabrics like 1680D Ballistic Nylon or 600D Polyester with PVC coating for water resistance. Ensure the telescopic handle is made of high-grade aluminum alloy rather than iron to prevent rusting and reduce weight.

The most common failure points are wheels and zippers. Specify 360-degree dual spinner wheels with TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) coating for silent movement and shock absorption. For zippers, request YKK or equivalent burst-resistant zippers (size #8 or #10). A critical quality check is the zipper pull strength test and ensuring the stitching is double-reinforced at stress points to prevent splitting under heavy loads.

To ensure market access and consumer safety, verify that the products meet REACH (EU) or Prop 65 (US) standards regarding phthalates and heavy metals in plastics. If the bags include integrated locks, they must be TSA-approved to avoid damage during customs inspections. For professional quality assurance, look for suppliers with ISO 9001 certification and request BSCI or Sedex audit reports to ensure ethical manufacturing practices.

For B2B branding, ensure the supplier offers logo customization via metal plates, embroidery, or silk-screen printing. Advanced suppliers should provide modular interior organizers, integrated USB charging ports, and RFID-blocking pockets. Check if the manufacturer can provide customized lining fabric with your brand's watermark, which adds a premium feel to the wholesale product.

Always mandate a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency like SGS or Intertek. Focus on the 'Drop Test' (dropping a loaded bag from 90cm) and the 'Rolling Road Test' (testing wheels over 20km). Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading Service to ensure payment is only released after the inspection report is approved and the bill of lading is uploaded.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Ask for a tiered pricing structure where the price drops as volume increases (e.g., 1x20GP vs. 1x40HQ container). Request a 1-2% spare parts allowance (extra wheels, handles, and zipper pulls) included in the price to handle minor after-sales issues without needing international returns.

Trolley bags are 'volumetric' cargo. To save on freight, use the 'nesting' method, where smaller bags (20") are packed inside medium (24") and large (28") bags. This significantly reduces the CBM (Cubic Meter) footprint, allowing you to fit more units per container. Compare FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over your shipping line and avoid hidden 'destination charges' often found in CIF terms.

Check the HS Code (typically 4202.12) for your specific country to determine import duties. Be mindful of anti-dumping duties that some regions (like the EU or Turkey) may impose on Chinese-made luggage. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin (CO) or GSP Form A/Form E to potentially qualify for preferential tariff rates under trade agreements.
