Woman eye glasses frame manufacturers

When sourcing, prioritize Acetate (Cellulose Acetate) for premium feel and deep colors, as it is hypoallergenic and adjustable. For lightweight durability, Titanium is the gold standard due to its corrosion resistance and high strength-to-weight ratio. For budget-friendly fashion lines, TR-90 (Thermoplastic) offers excellent flexibility and impact resistance, making it ideal for active lifestyles.

Eyewear is classified as a medical device in many regions. Ensure suppliers provide CE Marking for the European market and FDA Registration for the U.S. market. Products must comply with ISO 12870, which specifies fundamental requirements for unglazed spectacle frames, including nickel release levels to prevent skin irritation.

The longevity of a frame depends on its hardware. Request OBE or Comotec hinges (German/French standards) for smooth movement. Ensure the frames pass a bridge deformation test and endurance test (minimum 20,000 cycles). For metal frames, verify that the electroplating or PVD coating thickness is sufficient to prevent peeling after prolonged contact with skin oils.

Current trends include oversized geometric shapes, translucent pastels, and eco-friendly bio-acetate. Most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services, allowing for laser-engraved logos on the temples and custom MOQs (typically 100-300 units per color). Ensure the supplier can provide CAD drawings before opening new molds.

Implement a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) using AQL 2.5/4.0 standards. Focus on alignment checks (ensuring temples are even), lens groove consistency, and surface finish integrity. Using Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading Service can help protect your payment until the quality is verified.

Do not just negotiate on unit price; negotiate on mold costs and sample lead times. Ask for tiered pricing based on volume (e.g., 500 vs. 2,000 units). Request that the supplier includes branded packaging (cases and microfiber cloths) in the bundle price to increase your retail margin.

For high-value frames, Air Freight (DHL/FedEx/UPS) is preferred to minimize handling time and moisture exposure. Ensure the inner packaging uses individual polybags and bubble wrap, and the outer cartons are double-walled corrugated fiberboard with a crush-resistance test (ECT) rating suitable for international transit.

Ensure the supplier has the right to manufacture specific designs and is not infringing on major brand patents (e.g., Luxottica or Safilo designs). When providing your own designs, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and a Non-Compete Agreement to prevent your unique styles from being sold to other buyers.
