500kg jumbo bag manufacturers

When sourcing a 500kg Jumbo Bag, you must prioritize the Safe Working Load (SWL) and the Safety Factor (SF). For a 500kg capacity, a 5:1 SF (Single-trip) or 6:1 SF (Multi-trip) is standard. Additionally, verify the fabric weight (GSM), typically ranging from 140g to 180g for this capacity, and ensure the UV stabilization is at least 200-300 hours to prevent degradation during outdoor storage.

The design should match your handling equipment. For filling, choose between an open top, filling spout, or duffle top. For discharging, a discharge spout with a petal closure is common to control flow. If you are transporting fine powders, ensure the bag has sift-proof seams (felt or cord) to prevent leakage. For moisture-sensitive goods, specify a PE inner liner or laminated (coated) fabric.

Ensure the supplier complies with ISO 21898, which is the international standard for FIBCs. If the bags are for the food industry, they must be produced in a BRC or HACCP certified cleanroom and use FDA-approved virgin polypropylene. For hazardous materials, UN Certification is mandatory, requiring specific testing for drop, topple, and stack resistance.

Focus on the lifting loops. For a 500kg load, cross-corner loops or side-seam loops are standard. The tensile strength of the webbing and the stitching pattern (e.g., chain stitch or lock stitch) at the attachment points are critical. Request a Type Test Report from the supplier to confirm the bag can withstand its rated load without failure.

The primary risk is material adulteration, where suppliers mix recycled calcium carbonate into the polypropylene to reduce costs, which significantly weakens the bag's tensile strength. Another risk is inconsistent dimensions, which can cause stability issues during container loading. Always use Made-in-China.com's 'Audited Supplier' reports to verify the factory's production capacity and quality control history.

Jumbo bag pricing is highly sensitive to Polypropylene (PP) resin market prices. Negotiate a formula-based pricing model if you plan long-term procurement. For a 500kg bag, MOQs typically start at 500 to 1,000 pieces. To optimize costs, aim for Full Container Load (FCL) quantities, as these bags are bulky; palletized and compressed packing can increase the number of units per container by up to 20%.

Utilize Secure Payment services on platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after proof of shipment. For shipping, ensure the bags are UV-protected during transit and stored in a dry, cool environment. Request pre-shipment inspections (PSI) to verify the bale count and weight before the container is sealed to avoid quantity disputes.
