Air tag manufacturers

When evaluating suppliers, prioritize the Bluetooth version (5.0 or higher) to ensure stable connectivity and range. For devices intended to work with the Apple ecosystem, verify MFi (Made for iPhone) certification and compatibility with the 'Find My' network. Additionally, check the battery type (typically CR2032) and ensure it is user-replaceable, providing a lifespan of at least 8-12 months.

Since these are electronic wireless devices, they must hold CE (Europe), FCC (USA), and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) certifications. Because they contain lithium button cell batteries, you must request a UN38.3 test report and an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) to comply with international shipping regulations for hazardous materials.

Look for an IP67 or IP68 rating, which ensures the device is dust-tight and can withstand immersion in water. Request salt spray test reports if the product will be used in humid or coastal environments, and verify the housing material (ABS or PC) for impact resistance.

For B2B buyers, logo silk-printing or laser engraving is a standard requirement. You should also inquire about customized packaging (CMYK printing) and the possibility of pre-installing custom firmware or app integration if you are not using the standard 'Find My' protocol.

Avoid products that mimic the exact industrial design or branding of Apple's AirTag, as this can lead to customs seizures and legal action. Ensure the supplier provides an independent design patent or that the product is a 'white label' device that does not infringe on existing trademarks.

Shipping items with lithium batteries is restricted. You should use specialized electronics couriers and ensure the outer cartons bear the Class 9 Miscellaneous Dangerous Goods label. For large volumes, Sea Freight (DG Container) is more cost-effective, while Air Freight (PI970 regulations) is faster but requires strict documentation.

Start by requesting a sample order to verify build quality and app connectivity. Negotiate a tiered pricing structure where the unit price drops by 10-20% as volume exceeds 5,000 units. Always insist on Trade Assurance or secure payment terms that release funds only after a successful third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI).

Check if the supplier is an Audited Supplier on Made-in-China.com, which indicates their factory has been verified by independent bodies like SGS or Intertek. Review their R&D capacity—a supplier with their own SMT (Surface Mount Technology) lines is generally more reliable than a pure trading company.
