Alloy ornament manufacturers

Most commercial alloy ornaments are made from Zinc Alloy (Zamak) due to its excellent casting fluidity and strength. For premium or skin-contact items, ensure the alloy is Lead-free, Cadmium-free, and Nickel-free to meet international safety standards. Eco-friendly copper alloys are also a preferred choice for high-end electroplating finishes.

The durability of an alloy ornament depends on the plating thickness. You should request a Salt Spray Test report (usually 24-48 hours) to ensure corrosion resistance. Look for PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating if you require long-lasting color retention, especially for gold or rose-gold finishes, as it is significantly more durable than traditional water plating.

For the US market, products must comply with ASTM F2923 (Children's Jewelry) and California Proposition 65 regarding lead and cadmium content. For the EU, adherence to REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 is mandatory, specifically focusing on Nickel release limits to prevent skin allergies.

For intricate 3D shapes, Die-casting is the standard; however, ensure the supplier uses high-precision molds to avoid 'burrs' or rough edges. For custom logos or fine details, Laser Engraving or Enamel (Cloisonné) filling should be evaluated for color consistency and adhesion strength.

Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) before the bulk run. Use a third-party inspection service like V-Trust or QIMA to perform an AQL 2.5/4.0 inspection, focusing specifically on surface scratches, oxidation spots, and plating uniformity.

Alloy prices are influenced by raw material market rates (e.g., Zinc LME prices). Negotiate a tiered pricing structure based on volume and suggest a long-term cooperation agreement to lock in prices. Mention that you are sourcing via Made-in-China.com to leverage the platform's supplier transparency and competitive environment.

Alloy items are prone to oxidation if exposed to moisture. Insist on Anti-tarnish strips or Silica gel packets inside individual OPP bags. For bulk shipping, use double-walled corrugated cartons with waterproof inner liners to prevent damage during transit.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by reputable B2B platforms like Made-in-China.com. Avoid 100% upfront payments; the industry standard is a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment after the presentation of the Bill of Lading (B/L) or a successful third-party inspection report.
