Aluminum handle manufacturers

For most B2B applications, Aluminum Alloy 6063 is the industry standard due to its excellent extrudability and surface finish. For high-stress industrial environments, 6061 alloy offers superior structural strength. Regarding surface treatments, Anodizing is essential for corrosion resistance and color stability, while Powder Coating provides a wider range of RAL colors and a thicker protective layer. For high-end furniture or appliances, specify Electrophoretic coating or Brushed finishes to ensure a premium tactile experience and fingerprint resistance.

You must verify the Center-to-Center (C.C.) distance with a tolerance of ±0.2mm to ensure seamless installation on pre-drilled furniture or doors. Request CAD/BIM drawings from the supplier before tooling begins. For customized profiles, ensure the supplier uses CNC machining for precise hole tapping and edge chamfering to avoid burrs, which are critical for both safety and aesthetic integration.

Ensure the products comply with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) to guarantee the absence of lead and mercury, especially for handles used in kitchenware or medical environments. For outdoor or bathroom use, require a Salt Spray Test report (typically 48 to 96 hours) to validate anti-oxidation performance. Additionally, for commercial hardware, look for EN 1906 or ANSI/BHMA standards which certify durability through cycle testing (e.g., 100,000+ opening/closing cycles).

Aluminum handles are categorized by application: Profile Handles (Gola profiles) are trending for minimalist 'handleless' kitchen designs; Pull Handles are standard for wardrobes and drawers; and Heavy-duty Industrial Handles are used for machinery and equipment. When sourcing, specify if the handle requires antibacterial coating for healthcare settings or ergonomic grooves for high-frequency industrial use.

Always request a Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency like SGS or Intertek. Specifically, instruct them to perform a Cross-Cut Tape Test to check coating adhesion and use a Spectrometer to verify the aluminum alloy composition. Utilizing Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services can provide an extra layer of financial protection, ensuring payment is only released upon confirmation of quality.

Aluminum prices fluctuate based on the LME (London Metal Exchange) index. Negotiate a pricing formula tied to the raw material index plus a fixed fabrication cost. For MOQs, if you are a startup, look for suppliers on Made-in-China.com that offer 'Ready-to-Ship' products with lower MOQs (e.g., 50-100 pcs), whereas for custom molds, negotiate a rebate on tooling costs once cumulative order volume reaches a certain threshold (e.g., 5,000 units).

Aluminum is prone to scratching and denting. Insist on individual PE bag packaging for each handle, followed by EPE foam wrapping. For bulk sea freight, ensure the use of double-corrugated export cartons reinforced with plastic pallets and shrink wrap to prevent moisture ingress and deformation during stacking. Specify FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain better control over shipping costs and insurance through your own forwarder.
