Baggage x-ray machine price manufacturers

The price is primarily driven by the tunnel size (e.g., 5030, 6550, or 100100), which dictates the dimensions of luggage it can scan. Key performance indicators include wire resolution (typically 38-40 AWG) and steel penetration (ranging from 30mm to 40mm). Higher-priced models often feature dual-energy imaging, which allows the system to distinguish between organic, inorganic, and mixed materials by color-coding them on the monitor.

Buyers must ensure the equipment complies with FDA (US), CE (Europe), or GB15208 (China) standards. Most importantly, the machine must have a Radiation Safety Certificate ensuring leakage is below 1.0 μGy/h at a distance of 5cm from the external surface. For aviation security, look for TSA or ECAC certifications, though these significantly increase the unit price.

The X-ray generator is the most expensive component. You should choose between top-down, bottom-up, or side-view illumination based on your inspection needs. A high-quality generator from a reputable brand (often integrated by top Chinese manufacturers on Made-in-China.com) will offer a longer cooling cycle and a lifespan of 10,000+ hours, reducing the total cost of ownership by minimizing downtime.

Modern machines should include Threat Image Projection (TIP) for operator training, High-Density Alarm for suspicious items, and Automatic Image Archiving. Ensure the system supports multi-language interfaces and has a self-diagnostic function to simplify maintenance for local technicians.

The main risk is regulatory seizure due to lack of radiation permits. X-ray machines are classified as Category IV or V radioactive sources in some jurisdictions. Always verify that the supplier provides a Radiation Test Report and a Certificate of Non-Hazardous Goods for shipping. Additionally, ensure the wooden crate packaging meets ISPM 15 fumigation standards to avoid customs delays.

Focus on the Total Landed Cost. Request a breakdown of the FOB price vs. CIF price. Since these machines are heavy (400kg - 1000kg+), shipping costs are significant. Negotiate for spare parts kits (such as extra lead curtains and rollers) to be included in the initial price, as sourcing these individually later is expensive due to international freight.

Due to the sensitivity of the internal sensors, the machine must be shipped via Sea Freight in a reinforced plywood case with shock-absorption pallets. For installation, confirm if the supplier provides remote video guidance or on-site technician support. Most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer detailed installation videos and English manuals to facilitate local setup without the need for expensive international travel for engineers.
