Bjd eyes manufacturers

BJD eyes are primarily made from Resin, Glass, or Acrylic. Glass eyes offer the highest clarity and a realistic 'depth' effect but are fragile. Resin eyes are highly customizable, allowing for intricate glitter or paper-weight designs, and are less prone to breaking. Acrylic eyes are the most cost-effective but may yellow over time if not UV-stabilized. For high-end collectors, silicone-backed eyes are preferred as they provide a snug fit without damaging the doll's head.

Sizing is critical and usually ranges from 6mm to 22mm. You must measure the eye socket diameter of the doll. A 'small iris' style (e.g., 14mm eye with a 5mm iris) creates a more mature or realistic look, while a large iris creates a 'cute' or anime aesthetic. Always request a size chart from the supplier to confirm the dome height, as a dome that is too high may prevent the eyelids from closing properly or cause gaps.

Since BJD accessories are often classified under toys or collectibles, they must meet EN71 (Europe) or ASTM F963 (USA) standards. It is vital to ensure the materials are non-toxic and lead-free, especially for resin products. If you are sourcing for the US market, ensure compliance with CPSIA regulations regarding small parts and chemical composition.

Yes, most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. You can customize the pupil shape (e.g., cat-eye, heart-shaped), add fluorescent/luminous powders for glow-in-the-dark effects, or request hand-painted gradients. For bulk orders, ensure you provide a Pantone color reference to maintain consistency across production batches.

Quality issues like air bubbles in resin or scratches on glass are common. You should negotiate a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) and request high-definition photos of the actual batch. Use Trade Assurance services to ensure that the goods meet the agreed-upon quality specifications before final payment is released.

Focus on the MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) tiers. Suppliers often offer a 15-25% discount when moving from sample quantities to 500+ pairs. Additionally, discuss packaging costs; opting for bulk trays instead of individual retail boxes can significantly reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and shipping volume.

Because BJD eyes are small but high-value, Air Express (DHL/FedEx/UPS) is the most reliable method, offering tracking and faster customs clearance. Ensure the supplier uses shock-absorbent foam inserts or vacuum packaging to prevent the eyes from rubbing against each other, which causes surface abrasion during transit.

Look for 'Audited Suppliers' on Made-in-China.com. Check their business license, production capacity, and export history. A supplier with a dedicated R&D team for doll accessories is more likely to understand the specific aesthetic requirements of the BJD community compared to a general toy manufacturer.
