Cd marker pen price manufacturers

When sourcing CD markers, the most critical factor is the ink composition. You must ensure the ink is alcohol-based and acid-free to prevent the solvent from corroding the polycarbonate layer of the disc. Additionally, look for a fine or extra-fine felt tip (0.5mm - 1.0mm) made of high-density fiber to ensure smooth writing without scratching the surface. Quick-drying properties (less than 3 seconds) and waterproof performance are essential to prevent smudging during handling.

For the US market, markers must comply with ASTM D-4236 (Standard Practice for Labeling Art Materials for Chronic Health Hazards). For the EU, EN71-3 (Safety of Toys - Migration of certain elements) and REACH regulations are mandatory to ensure the ink does not contain toxic heavy metals or phthalates. If the product is intended for office use, ISO 11540 compliance regarding ventilated caps is a key safety feature to prevent choking hazards.

The unit price is heavily influenced by the ink volume (typically 1.5g to 3g) and the barrel material (PP vs. Aluminum). Standard bulk packaging in inner boxes is the most cost-effective. However, OEM branding (silk-screen printing) and retail-ready blister card or PVC pouch packaging can increase the cost by 15-25%. For high-volume orders, sourcing from manufacturers on Made-in-China.com allows for tiered pricing where orders exceeding 10,000 units can reduce the unit cost by up to 30% compared to small-batch wholesale.

While primarily for CDs/DVDs, these markers are often used as permanent multi-surface markers. If your target market includes industrial users, prioritize high-lightfastness ink that won't fade under UV exposure. For office or school supplies, focus on long cap-off time technology, which allows the pen to remain functional even if left uncapped for up to 24 hours.

Marker pens contain liquid ink, which can be classified as 'Sensitive Goods' due to flammability (alcohol content). You must request a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a UN38.3 or equivalent transport certificate from the supplier. Failure to provide these may lead to customs seizures or rejection by air couriers. For large sea freight shipments, ensure the containers are stored away from heat sources to prevent ink leakage or barrel deformation.

Prioritize suppliers with the 'Audited Supplier' badge, as they have undergone on-site inspections by third-party agencies like SGS or Bureau Veritas. Check their Business Type—direct manufacturers usually offer better price stability and customization than trading companies. Review their Export Experience to your specific country to ensure they are familiar with your local customs documentation requirements.

Always negotiate based on Total Landed Cost, not just the EXW price. Request a pre-production sample to verify ink flow and color accuracy before sending the deposit. Use Secured Trading Services offered by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is only released to the supplier once you confirm the shipping documents or inspection report. For long-term partnerships, negotiate a 5-10% spare parts/units allowance to cover potential defectives during transit.

For orders under 100kg, International Express (DHL/FedEx) is fastest but expensive for low-value items like pens. For mid-sized orders (200kg - 500kg), Air Freight offers a balance of speed and cost. However, for maximum profitability in B2B sourcing, LCL (Less than Container Load) Sea Freight is recommended. Ensure the supplier uses double-corrugated export cartons and palletization to prevent crushing damage during the multiple handling stages of cross-border logistics.
