Ceramic scented manufacturers

Focus on material porosity and thermal stability. For candles, the ceramic must be high-fired (above 1200°C) to ensure it is non-porous and heat-resistant, preventing wax leakage or vessel cracking. For diffusers, ensure the glaze quality is acid-resistant to prevent essential oils from corroding the finish. Always verify that the wick is lead-free (cotton or wood) and the wax is a natural blend (soy, beeswax, or coconut) for a clean burn.

You must demand IFRA (International Fragrance Association) certification for all scents to ensure they are safe for inhalation. For the US market, products must comply with ASTM F2417 (Standard Specification for Candle Fire Safety). For the EU, ensure compliance with REACH regulations and CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) labeling, which requires specific hazard pictograms and allergen disclosures on the packaging.

Evaluate both 'Cold Throw' (scent when unlit) and 'Hot Throw' (scent when burning). A high-quality product typically has a fragrance load of 6% to 10%. Ask suppliers for gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) reports to verify fragrance purity. For ceramic diffusers, the ultrasonic plate frequency or the capillary action of reeds should be tested to ensure consistent scent dispersion in rooms up to 30 square meters.

Yes, most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. Customization options include electroplating, reactive glazing, and 3D embossed logos. Ensure the supplier provides CAD drawings and 3D-printed prototypes before mold opening. For luxury branding, request custom-designed rigid gift boxes with high-density foam inserts to ensure a premium unboxing experience and product safety.

The two main risks are fragility and temperature sensitivity. Ceramic vessels are prone to breakage, so Drop Test Standards (ISTA 1A or 2A) must be met. Furthermore, soy-based waxes have a low melting point; during summer transit or transit through tropical zones, use reefer containers (refrigerated) or ensure the cargo is positioned below the waterline on the vessel to prevent the wax from melting and sweating.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery is confirmed. Negotiate a 30/70 payment term (30% deposit, 70% balance after passing a third-party pre-shipment inspection). Explicitly include a 'Defective Rate Clause' in the contract, stating that if the breakage rate exceeds 2%, the supplier must provide replacements or a refund in the next shipment.

Due to the weight of ceramic and the volume of packaging, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical method. For Amazon FBA sellers, use DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms to simplify customs clearance involving 'liquid/wax' classifications. Ensure the HS Code 3406.00 (Candles) or 6913.90 (Ceramic Ornaments) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays or incorrect duty applications.
