China canthaxanthin 10% manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize the beadlet stability and bioavailability. Ensure the product is a free-flowing granular powder (beadlet form) to prevent dust and ensure uniform mixing. The active content must be strictly ≥10%, and the loss on drying should be ≤8%. For feed applications, verify the trans-canthaxanthin isomer ratio, as this determines the pigmentation efficiency in poultry skin, egg yolks, and salmonids.

For food-grade applications, ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000 certifications are essential. For animal feed, FAMI-QS (Feed Additives and Pre-mixtures Quality System) is the gold standard for safety and traceability. Additionally, ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch and complies with local regulations such as FDA (US) or EFSA (EU) limits regarding heavy metals (Lead ≤2ppm, Arsenic ≤2ppm).

Canthaxanthin is highly sensitive to oxidation, light, and heat. It should be packed in aluminum foil bags with vacuum sealing or nitrogen flushing, typically housed within a 20kg or 25kg fiber drum. The shelf life is generally 24 months when stored in a cool (below 15°C), dry place. Always check the manufacturing date to ensure maximum potency upon arrival.

It is primarily used as a color additive. In the poultry industry, it enhances the golden-yellow to red hue of egg yolks and broiler skin. In aquaculture, it is vital for the pigmentation of salmon and trout flesh. It also finds niche applications in the cosmetic and food industries as a potent antioxidant and coloring agent.

Always request a pre-shipment sample for lab testing. Use third-party inspection services (like SGS or BV) to conduct a random sampling of the actual cargo at the loading port. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone rigorous on-site verification of their manufacturing capabilities and quality control systems.

Prices for Canthaxanthin are influenced by the cost of raw materials (beta-carotene derivatives). Negotiate based on volume tiers; orders exceeding 500kg usually qualify for a 5-10% discount. For lead times, standard production is 7-14 days. Ensure the contract specifies Incoterms 2020 (e.g., FOB Shanghai or CIF) to clearly define the point of risk transfer.

While Canthaxanthin 10% is generally classified as non-hazardous for transport, you must ensure the supplier provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Certification for Safe Transport of Chemical Goods. For long-distance sea freight, request moisture-proof palletization and avoid top-deck stowage to prevent heat degradation during transit through tropical zones.

Utilize Secured Trading Services offered by platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery is confirmed. For large bulk orders, consider using a Letter of Credit (L/C) or a staged T/T payment (30% deposit, 70% against B/L copy) to balance the risk between buyer and seller.
