Double layer jacquard fabric manufacturers

When evaluating this fabric, you must prioritize Material Composition (e.g., 100% Cotton, Polyester-Cotton blends, or Silk) and Weight (GSM). For double-layer structures, a weight between 150-300 GSM is standard for apparel, while home textiles may require higher density. Ensure the Yarn Count (e.g., 40s, 60s) aligns with your desired fineness, and verify the Color Fastness to Washing and Light meets a minimum of Grade 4 to prevent fading.

The 'Double Layer' should be checked for interlacing stability to ensure the two layers do not separate or bubble after washing. For the Jacquard patterns, inspect the float length on the reverse side; excessively long floats can lead to snagging. Request a physical swatch to test the dimensional stability, ensuring the shrinkage rate is controlled within ±3%.

For entry into the US market, ensure compliance with ASTM D1230 (Flammability of Apparel Textiles). For the EU, the fabric must adhere to REACH regulations regarding harmful chemicals. If you are targeting eco-conscious markets, look for suppliers with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 or GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certifications to guarantee the absence of hazardous substances.

This fabric is highly versatile. In Apparel, it is used for high-end coats, suits, and children's wear due to its thickness and breathability. In Home Textiles, it is ideal for premium bedding, upholstery, and curtains. Its unique structure provides natural insulation and a 3D texture, making it a preferred choice for luxury fashion brands.

Always utilize Third-Party Inspection services (such as SGS or Intertek) to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). Focus on checking for weaving defects, color shading between batches, and odor. For secure transactions, use platforms like Made-in-China.com which offer trade security services to ensure your payment is protected until the goods are verified.

Negotiate based on Volume-Based Pricing; typically, a 10-15% discount can be achieved when exceeding 3,000 meters. Discuss Lead Times clearly, as Jacquard weaving is more time-consuming than plain weaving—standard production is 25-35 days. Also, request 'Lapping' or 'Rolling' specifications that match your local cutting room requirements to save on secondary processing costs.

Fabric is sensitive to moisture and pressure. Insist on Double-Layer Packaging (inner plastic bag + outer woven bag) to prevent water damage during sea freight. For shipping to specific regions, compare FOB vs. CIF terms; for large volumes, FOB usually offers better control over local port charges and logistics transparency. Ensure the supplier provides a Packing List and Commercial Invoice that accurately reflects the HS Code (typically Chapter 52 or 54/55) to avoid customs delays.
