Epson projector lamp price manufacturers

Understanding the three main categories is vital for balancing cost and performance. Original Lamps (OEM) are made by Epson and offer the highest reliability and brightness. Original Bulb in Housing (OBH) uses a genuine bulb (like Ushio or Osram) inside a high-quality third-party cage, providing 95-99% of OEM performance at a lower cost. Compatible Lamps are entirely third-party; while they are the most economical, you must ensure the supplier uses high-pressure mercury vapor technology to prevent premature dimming or overheating.

Always confirm the exact lamp model number (e.g., ELPLPxx) and the wattage (W) to match your projector's power supply. Check the rated lamp life, which typically ranges from 3,000 to 10,000 hours depending on the mode (Normal vs. Eco). Ensure the housing includes a high-quality thermal fuse to prevent the projector from overheating, and verify that the connector pins are gold-plated or high-conductivity alloy to ensure stable ignition.

For international trade, ensure the products meet CE and RoHS certifications, which guarantee the absence of hazardous substances like lead and cadmium beyond permitted levels. Since these lamps contain mercury, they must comply with the Minamata Convention on Mercury. For the US market, FCC compliance for electromagnetic interference is recommended, while UL or ETL listing ensures the electrical components meet rigorous safety standards.

Request a batch testing report that includes Lumen output (brightness) and Color Temperature (K) consistency. A professional supplier should provide a failure rate statistic (ideally <1%). Ask for photos of the internal burner; high-quality burners have a clear, symmetrical arc tube. For B2B buyers, it is advisable to source from Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com who offer sample testing to verify that the lamp does not cause 'flicker' or 'auto-shutdown' issues.

The biggest risk is physical breakage due to the fragile nature of the glass burner and the high-pressure gas inside. Ensure the supplier uses double-layered corrugated boxes with custom-fit EPE foam inserts. Additionally, because lamps contain small amounts of mercury, they are classified as Dangerous Goods (Class 9) in some jurisdictions; verify that your freight forwarder is experienced in handling MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) to avoid customs delays.

Standard industry warranties for projector lamps range from 90 to 180 days. Negotiate for a 'Replacement Only' policy for DOA (Dead on Arrival) units or lamps that fail within the first 100 hours. Instead of returning defective units (which is costly), agree on video/photo evidence for credit on the next order. Prioritize suppliers on Made-in-China.com who offer Trade Assurance to protect your payment until the goods are verified.

Price is heavily influenced by the type of burner used. To lower costs without sacrificing quality, ask for 'Original Bulb' (OB) without the housing if you have the technical capacity to refurbish old cages. For bulk orders exceeding 500 units, you can typically negotiate a 10-20% discount. Always request FOB (Free On Board) pricing to maintain control over your shipping costs and choose a logistics provider that specializes in electronics.
