Flannel shirt jacket manufacturers

Prioritize fabrics with a weight of 280-400 GSM (Grams per Square Meter) for a true 'shacket' feel. Ensure the material is 100% brushed cotton or a high-density polyester blend for durability. For the lining, look for sherpa fleece or quilted taffeta to enhance thermal insulation. Check for double-brushed finishes on both sides to ensure maximum softness and pilling resistance.

Ensure the supplier complies with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 to guarantee the absence of harmful substances. For the US market, products must meet CPSIA requirements regarding lead content and phthalates, as well as 16 CFR Part 1610 for flammability standards. For the EU, verify REACH compliance for chemical safety and AZO-free dye certifications.

Look for reinforced stitching at stress points like pockets and armholes. High-quality jackets should feature pattern matching (where the plaid lines align at the seams), heavy-duty snap buttons or reinforced buttonholes, and adjustable cuffs. A back pleat is also a sign of superior design, allowing for a better range of motion.

Request a third-party lab test report (SGS or Intertek) specifically for ISO 105-C06 (colorfastness to washing) and ISO 6330 (dimensional stability). A professional supplier should guarantee a shrinkage rate of less than 3% after multiple washes. Always ask for a pre-production sample (PPS) to conduct your own 'wash and wear' test.

Implement a During Production Inspection (DPI) and a Final Random Inspection (FRI) using AQL 2.5/4.0 standards. Never release the final payment until a third-party inspector verifies that the fabric hand-feel, weight, and color consistency match the approved golden sample. Using Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading Service can provide an extra layer of payment protection.

Negotiate based on Total Landed Cost rather than just the unit price. Discuss tiered pricing (e.g., discounts for 500, 1000, and 5000 units) and ask for free labeling/packaging services for larger volumes. If you are a repeat buyer, negotiate for 30/70 payment terms (30% deposit, 70% upon presentation of the Bill of Lading) to improve your cash flow.

Be aware of HS Code 6201 or 6202 for outer garments, as duty rates vary significantly by country. Ensure the supplier provides a detailed Packing List and Commercial Invoice that matches the physical goods exactly to avoid customs delays. For seasonal items like jackets, choose Sea-Air combined transport or Matson fast-ship services to balance cost and speed during peak winter shopping seasons.

Always verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualification on the Made-in-China.com platform. Look for 'Audited Suppliers' who have undergone on-site verification by independent agencies like SGS, Bureau Veritas, or TÜV Rheinland. Avoid using untraceable payment methods; stick to Bank T/T or platform-integrated escrow services.
