Fuwa equalizer manufacturers

When sourcing a Fuwa-style equalizer, you must prioritize material grade and casting quality. Ensure the body is made of ductile iron (QT450-10 or higher) or high-strength cast steel to withstand heavy loads. Key dimensions to verify include the center hole diameter (typically 50mm or 60mm) and the distance between the side hanger bolt holes. Additionally, check the bushing material; high-quality units use phosphor bronze or reinforced nylon bushings to reduce friction and extend the service life of the suspension system.

Compliance is critical for road safety. You should require suppliers to provide ISO 9001:2015 certification for their manufacturing processes. For the product itself, look for TS16949 certification, which is the global standard for automotive industry quality management. Request load-bearing test reports and salt spray test results (minimum 96 hours) to ensure the anti-corrosion coating can withstand harsh environmental conditions during cross-border transit and long-term use.

Fuwa equalizers are primarily used in mechanical leaf spring suspension systems for semi-trailers, low-bed trailers, and heavy trucks. Compatibility is determined by the suspension type (e.g., over-slung or under-slung) and the leaf spring width (usually 75mm, 90mm, or 100mm). Ensure the equalizer is compatible with Fuwa-style hangers and torque arms to prevent installation misalignments that could lead to uneven tire wear or structural failure.

The main risks include material substitution (using gray iron instead of ductile iron) and dimensional inaccuracies. To mitigate this, always request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Intertek. Furthermore, ensure the packaging is sea-worthy, using fumigated wooden pallets and rust-preventative oil, as moisture during ocean freight can lead to surface oxidation before the goods arrive.

For B2B transactions, use Secure Payment services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your funds until shipping documents are verified. When negotiating, leverage volume-based pricing; for example, ordering in full container loads (FCL) can often reduce the unit price by 10-15% compared to LCL. Always clarify the Incoterms (e.g., FOB Qingdao or CIF destination port) to avoid hidden logistics costs.

Equalizers are heavy, high-density items, so sea freight is the most economical method. Ensure the supplier provides a detailed Packing List and Commercial Invoice with the correct HS Code (typically 8716.90) to avoid customs delays. Check if your country has anti-dumping duties on Chinese steel/iron components and ask the supplier for a Certificate of Origin (CO) to potentially benefit from preferential tariff rates under trade agreements.
