Hb electrophoresis manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) for high automation and resolution, or Agarose Gel Electrophoresis for traditional, cost-effective qualitative analysis. Ensure the system supports High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) alignment if it is being used as a confirmatory tool for hemoglobinopathies like Sickle Cell Anemia or Thalassemia.

The equipment must hold ISO 13485 certification for medical device quality management. Depending on the destination market, look for CE IVDR (In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation) for Europe or FDA 510(k) clearance for the United States. Ensure the manufacturer provides a Declaration of Conformity and valid test reports for electromagnetic compatibility.

Beyond the machine price, calculate the cost per test, which includes reagents, buffers, hemolysing solutions, and disposable capillaries or gels. Check if the system is an 'Open System' (allows third-party reagents) or a 'Closed System' (requires proprietary reagents), as closed systems often have higher long-term operational costs but better result consistency.

Look for a high-resolution optical sensor and software capable of automatic fraction identification (HbA, HbA2, HbF, HbS, HbC). The system should offer a CV (Coefficient of Variation) of <2.0% for HbA2 quantification to ensure reliable screening for Beta-Thalassemia traits.

Request professional medical-grade packaging, specifically vacuum-sealed anti-static bags and wooden crates with shock-absorption foam. It is highly recommended to hire a third-party inspection service (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to verify the unit powers on and passes self-calibration before leaving the factory.

Focus on after-sales technical support rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for a 1-2 year warranty period that includes free remote software updates and the inclusion of a spare parts kit (e.g., electrodes, fuses, pumps). Ask for a discount on the first bulk order of reagents if purchased alongside the hardware.

Always use Secured Payment services provided by the platform to ensure funds are only released after confirming receipt of goods. For large-scale laboratory tenders, consider using a Letter of Credit (L/C) to protect both parties, and ensure all technical specifications are clearly listed in the Proforma Invoice (PI) to serve as legal evidence in case of disputes.

Choose Air Freight for precision analyzers to minimize vibration and humidity exposure associated with long-term sea freight. Ensure the shipping agent is experienced in Cold Chain Logistics if you are purchasing reagents simultaneously, as many electrophoresis buffers require temperature-controlled environments (2°C to 8°C) to maintain chemical stability.
