High quality shopping bag manufacturers

For non-woven bags, ensure a weight of at least 80-120 GSM to guarantee durability and reusability. For canvas or cotton bags, look for 12oz to 16oz fabric weight to support heavy loads. If sourcing plastic alternatives, prioritize RPET (Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate) or GRS-certified recycled materials to meet global sustainability trends.

High-quality bags must feature 'X-cross' stitching at the handle-to-body attachment points to prevent tearing. For heavy-duty retail use, specify piping reinforcement along the seams and a removable bottom PE board to maintain shape and distribute weight evenly. Ensure the handle length is at least 50-60cm for comfortable shoulder carry.

For complex, multi-color logos, Heat Transfer Printing or Digital Printing offers the best resolution. For high-volume, cost-effective branding on non-woven bags, Silk Screen Printing is standard, but ensure the use of eco-friendly, lead-free inks that pass rub-fastness tests to prevent peeling.

Bags entering the EU must comply with REACH regulations regarding chemical substances. For the US market, ensure materials are BPA-free and meet CPSIA standards if intended for consumer use. Always request OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification for textile-based bags to ensure they are free from harmful substances.

Always request a Pre-Production Sample (PPS) for physical approval before the bulk run begins. For large orders, hire a third-party inspector to perform an AQL 2.5/4.0 inspection, focusing on seam strength, print alignment, and dimensions to ensure the final product matches the approved sample.

Negotiate based on Total Landed Cost. While the unit price might be low, shipping volume for bulky bags can be high. Ask for vacuum packaging to reduce volume and save on freight costs. On Made-in-China.com, look for 'Diamond Members' and negotiate tiered pricing where the discount increases by 5-10% for every 5,000 units added.

Stay informed about Single-Use Plastic (SUP) bans in your target country. Many regions now tax or ban bags with less than 40% recycled content or those below a certain micron thickness. Ensure your supplier provides a Certificate of Origin to benefit from preferential tariffs under trade agreements like RCEP or GSP.

Use Secured Payment services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after you confirm receipt of goods. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts; always use corporate accounts verified by the platform to prevent fraud.
