Imitation jewellery set manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize base metals like brass or copper for better durability and plating adhesion compared to zinc alloy. Ensure the electroplating thickness is at least 0.03-0.05 microns for standard wear, or request PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating for premium lines to ensure the gold or silver finish remains tarnish-resistant for over two years. Additionally, verify that all stones are AAA-grade Cubic Zirconia or high-quality resin to ensure maximum brilliance and clarity.

Compliance is critical to avoid customs seizures. Products must be Lead-free, Cadmium-free, and Nickel-free to prevent skin allergies and meet EU REACH regulations or US California Proposition 65 standards. Always request third-party lab test reports (such as SGS or Intertek) from the supplier before finalizing the shipment to ensure the chemical composition meets your target market's safety requirements.

Focus on the integrity of the soldering points and the smoothness of the polishing; there should be no sharp edges or burrs. Check the clasp functionality (lobster or spring rings) to ensure they can withstand at least 500+ opening cycles. For stone-heavy sets, confirm if they use prong settings rather than just glue, as mechanical settings significantly reduce the risk of stones falling out during transit or use.

Professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com typically offer OEM/ODM services, including laser-engraved logos on the clasps or tags. You should also negotiate custom packaging solutions, such as branded velvet boxes or anti-oxidation pouches, which not only enhance the unboxing experience but also protect the jewellery from moisture and friction during international shipping.

Request a salt spray test report from the supplier to simulate long-term wear and corrosion. Implement a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) where a random sample is checked for plating consistency. It is also advisable to use anti-tarnish strips inside the bulk packaging to neutralize atmospheric sulfur during sea freight.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released after the goods pass inspection. Always define a clear Quality Acceptance Agreement (QAA) in the contract, specifying the percentage of allowable defects and the remedy for non-compliance, such as full replacement or credit for future orders.

Due to the high value-to-weight ratio, Air Express (DHL/FedEx/UPS) is preferred for small to medium batches to ensure speed and security. For bulk orders, Sea Freight with 'Double Clearance' services can be cost-effective, but ensure the goods are packed in moisture-proof, vacuum-sealed bags to prevent oxidation caused by the humid sea air.

For new designs, negotiate a 'Sample First' policy where the sample fee is refunded upon a bulk order. If you are a startup, look for suppliers offering 'Ready-to-Ship' (RTS) items which often have an MOQ as low as 3-12 sets, allowing you to test market demand without heavy inventory pressure.
