Interchangeable lenses sunglasses manufacturers

The locking mechanism is the most critical component. High-quality sunglasses should feature a quick-release system or magnetic attachment that allows for lens changes in under 10 seconds without applying excessive pressure that could warp the frame. Ensure the bridge and temple joints are reinforced with TR90 memory polymer, which provides the necessary flexibility to withstand repeated lens insertions and removals.

Prioritize Polycarbonate (PC) or Polyamide (Nylon) lenses, as they offer superior impact resistance and are significantly lighter than glass. For professional sports use, ensure the lenses include Hydrophobic and Oleophobic coatings to repel water and fingerprints, and a Grade A Polarized film to eliminate glare. All lenses must provide 100% UV400 protection to meet international safety standards.

For the US market, products must comply with ANSI Z80.3 for optical quality and FDA 21 CFR 801.410 for impact resistance (Drop Ball Test). For the EU, the CE Marking and compliance with EN ISO 12312-1 are mandatory. If you are sourcing for protective or tactical use, look for ANSI Z87.1+ or MIL-PRF-32432 high-velocity impact certifications.

Request test reports for hinge cycle life (minimum 5,000 folds) and sweat resistance to ensure the frame coating does not peel. TR90 (Grilamid) is the industry standard for sports frames due to its lightweight, heat resistance, and flexibility, whereas Acetate is preferred for premium fashion-forward interchangeable lines.

Always request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency. Specifically, instruct the inspector to perform a fit-check on every lens color included in the set to ensure there are no gaps between the lens and the frame. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released after the goods pass quality verification.

Negotiate based on Total Set Configuration. Instead of just lowering the unit price, ask for spare nose pads, high-density microfiber pouches, or EVA hard cases to be included at the same price point. For orders exceeding 2,000 units, aim for a 15-20% discount or request the supplier to waive the mold fee for custom logo branding on the temples.

Sunglasses are susceptible to pressure damage. Ensure the supplier uses double-walled corrugated export cartons and that each unit is housed in a protective EVA case or bubble wrap. For air freight, confirm the volumetric weight calculation, as sunglasses packaging can be bulky; for sea freight, ensure desiccant silica gel packs are included to prevent moisture buildup and lens fogging during transit.

Ensure the frame design does not infringe on patents from major brands like Oakley or Smith. Request a Letter of Authorization if the supplier claims to produce for big brands. When adding your own logo, ensure you have a trademark registration in both the sourcing country and the destination country to prevent customs seizures.
