Medical traction bed manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize multi-functionality and precision. Key specs include microcomputer control for traction force accuracy, adjustable traction angles (cervical and lumbar), and emergency stop switches for patient safety. Ensure the frame is made of high-quality carbon steel with electrostatic spraying to prevent corrosion and ensure a load capacity of at least 200kg.

As a Class II medical device, it must adhere to strict regulatory standards. Ensure the supplier provides ISO 13485 (Medical Devices Quality Management Systems) and CE marking for the European market. For the U.S. market, FDA registration is essential. Additionally, verify IEC 60601-1 compliance for medical electrical equipment safety.

The drive system is the core of the device. Electric-driven actuators are preferred over manual systems for smoother force application. Look for low-noise medical motors (e.g., Linak or equivalent) that offer stepless speed regulation and automatic compensation of traction force to maintain therapeutic efficacy even if the patient moves slightly.

These beds are designed for rehabilitation centers, orthopedic hospitals, and physiotherapy clinics. They are primarily used for treating cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, and spinal fractures. For high-end clinics, look for models with integrated heating therapy and massage functions to enhance patient comfort during treatment.

Prioritize 'Audited Suppliers' who have undergone third-party inspections by SGS or TÜV Rheinland. Request a live video factory audit to inspect the production line and testing laboratory. Check their export history to your specific region to ensure they understand local customs requirements for medical devices.

The primary risks are mechanical damage and moisture. Insist on seaworthy wooden crate packaging (IPPC certified) with internal shock-absorbing foam and moisture-proof vacuum bags. For high-value electronic components, ensure the supplier uses anti-static packaging and provides transit insurance (CIF terms) to cover potential losses.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for extended warranties (2-3 years) and the inclusion of vulnerable spare parts (e.g., traction belts, fuses, hand controllers) at no extra cost. For orders exceeding 10 units, aim for a 10-15% volume discount or free OEM branding on the control interface.
