Metal fridge magnet manufacturers

The most common materials are Zinc Alloy, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel. Zinc alloy is preferred for 3D embossed designs due to its excellent casting fluidity. For premium durability, ensure the product has an electroplated finish (such as nickel, gold, or antique copper) to prevent oxidation and corrosion over time.

You should specify the type of magnet used: Soft Rubber Magnets are cost-effective and scratch-resistant, while Neodymium (NdFeB) Magnets offer superior grip for heavier metal designs. Ensure the magnets are securely recessed or glued using industrial-strength adhesive to pass choking hazard safety tests, especially for markets with strict consumer safety regulations.

For complex logos, Offset Printing with Epoxy Coating provides a smooth, high-gloss protective layer. For a tactile, premium feel, Soft Enamel or Hard Enamel (Cloisonné) techniques are ideal. If you require high detail on a flat surface, UV Digital Printing offers the best color accuracy and scratch resistance.

Products must comply with EN71 standards (Part 1, 2, and 3) for the European market to ensure they are free from toxic heavy metals. For the US market, ASTM F963 and CPSIA compliance is mandatory, specifically regarding lead content in coatings and magnet ingestion warnings for children's products.

Always request a Pre-Production Sample (PPS) before authorizing mass production. Utilize third-party inspection services (like V-Trust or QIMA) to perform a During Production Check (DUPRO) to verify that the metal weight and plating thickness match your specifications. Sourcing through reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com allows you to select Audited Suppliers with verified manufacturing capabilities.

Metal magnets involve mold costs (die-casting fees). Negotiate for a mold fee refund once your cumulative order volume reaches a certain threshold (e.g., 5,000 units). To reduce unit costs, increase the order quantity to hit the price break points, which typically occur at 1,000, 3,000, and 5,000 pieces.

Metal magnets are heavy and can be easily scratched. Insist on individual polybagging or bubble wrap packaging for each unit. For shipping, use double-walled corrugated export cartons and ensure the total weight per carton does not exceed 15kg to prevent box breakage during transit. For large volumes, Sea Freight is significantly more economical than Air Freight due to the high weight-to-volume ratio.

Use Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon confirmation of shipment. To protect your designs, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before sharing artwork, and ensure the supplier does not display your custom-molded designs in their public showroom or to other buyers.
