Mosquito fabric manufacturers

When evaluating mosquito fabric, the most critical factor is the mesh density, typically measured in holes per square inch (HPI). For standard protection, a density of 156 to 230 HPI is recommended. Additionally, verify the denier (D) of the polyester or nylon yarn; a 50D to 75D rating ensures a balance between lightweight breathability and structural durability. For industrial or outdoor use, ensure the fabric has high tensile strength to prevent tearing.

Buyers must ensure products meet WHO (World Health Organization) specifications if intended for health-related projects. For general consumer markets, look for OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 to guarantee the absence of harmful chemicals. If the fabric is pre-treated with insecticides, it must comply with EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations in the US or the BPR (Biocidal Products Regulation) in the EU. Additionally, ISO 9001 certification for the manufacturer is essential for consistent quality control.

Request a bursting strength test report (ISO 13938) to ensure the mesh can withstand pressure. For treated fabrics, ask for a wash-resistance certificate, which proves the insecticide remains effective after 20+ washes. You should also evaluate the airflow permeability to ensure the fabric is suitable for hot and humid climates without compromising the user's comfort.

Mosquito fabric is versatile, ranging from LLINs (Long-Lasting Insecticidal Nets) for humanitarian aid to decorative bed canopies for home textiles. Polyester is preferred for its shape retention and cost-effectiveness, while Polyethylene is often used for heavy-duty agricultural or window screen applications due to its UV resistance and stiffness.

The biggest risk is non-compliance with chemical regulations, especially regarding flame retardants or insecticides. Another risk is inconsistent mesh uniformity, which can lead to 'weak spots' where insects can enter. To mitigate this, use third-party inspections (such as SGS or Intertek) to conduct random batch testing before the final balance payment is made.

Focus on tiered pricing based on weight (GSM - Grams per Square Meter) rather than just linear meters. Request a Gold Member supplier status check on Made-in-China.com to ensure they have a verified business background. Negotiate for a 5-10% spare parts allowance (extra fabric rolls) to account for potential cutting waste or minor defects in large-scale production.

Mosquito fabric is high-volume but low-weight, so vacuum compression packaging is highly recommended to reduce shipping volume and save on freight costs. Ensure the outer cartons are moisture-proof to prevent mold during sea transit. For urgent seasonal demands, consider multimodal transport (Sea-Air) to balance cost and speed.
