Oem eye lenses manufacturers

As medical devices, eye lenses must adhere to strict international standards. You must ensure the manufacturer holds ISO 13485 certification (Medical devices — Quality management systems). For the US market, FDA 510(k) clearance is mandatory; for the EU, CE Marking (MDR 2017/745) is required. Always verify the Certificate of Free Sale (CFS) to ensure the product is legally sold in the country of origin.

Key parameters include Oxygen Permeability (Dk/t), where higher values prevent corneal hypoxia, and Water Content, which affects comfort. You should also specify the Base Curve (BC) and Diameter (DIA) ranges. For color lenses, ensure the Sandwich Printing Technology is used to prevent pigments from directly touching the cornea, ensuring user safety.

Request Hydrogel or Silicone Hydrogel material data sheets. Suppliers should provide Biocompatibility Test Reports (ISO 10993) covering cytotoxicity, sensitization, and intracutaneous reactivity. For OEM orders, ask for a Stability Test Report to confirm the lenses maintain their properties throughout their stated shelf life (typically 3-5 years).

Labels must include the Expiry Date, Batch Number, Sterilization Method (usually Steam Sterilization), and Diopter/Power. The packaging must be tamper-evident and include a multi-language Instruction for Use (IFU). Ensure the primary blister pack material is medical-grade to maintain sterility during transit and storage.

Utilize Third-Party Inspection services (like SGS or Intertek) to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). Focus on the Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) and vacuum leak tests for the blister packs. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site factory verifications to ensure their production lines meet medical-grade hygiene standards.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), including sterilization costs and specialized medical packaging. Request a tiered pricing structure where the unit price drops as volume increases (e.g., 5,000 vs. 50,000 pieces). Ensure the contract includes a Quality Agreement that defines the acceptable AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) and specific protocols for defective batches.

Contact lenses are sensitive to extreme temperatures. Use Temperature-Controlled Logistics or ensure the shipping route avoids prolonged exposure to heat (above 30°C) or freezing conditions, which can compromise the saline solution and lens integrity. Always use H.S. Code 9001.30 for customs declaration to ensure correct duty application.

Use Escrow-based payment terms or Letters of Credit (L/C) for large bulk orders. Avoid direct wire transfers to personal accounts. Conduct all communications and payments through secure channels provided by Made-in-China.com to benefit from their buyer protection and dispute resolution mechanisms.
