Oem road frame manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize Toray T700, T800, or T1000 carbon fiber for high-performance frames to ensure an optimal strength-to-weight ratio. For aluminum frames, 6061 or 7005 series alloy with T6 heat treatment is the industry standard. Ensure the supplier provides material mill certificates to verify the authenticity of the raw materials used in production.

To ensure market access and rider safety, frames must comply with ISO 4210-6 (Safety requirements for bicycles). For the European market, EN 14781 compliance is essential. If you intend to supply professional racing teams, look for UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) approval, which certifies the frame geometry meets competitive standards.

Request detailed reports on BB (Bottom Bracket) shell alignment and head tube concentricity. For carbon frames, inquire about EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) internal molding technology, which eliminates internal wrinkles and voids, resulting in a lighter, stronger, and more consistent structure. Verify that the weight tolerance is kept within +/- 30g to 50g of the specified weight.

A professional OEM partner should offer Open Mold (ODM) or Private Mold (OEM) services. Key customization features include internal cable routing (compatible with Di2/electronic shifting), custom paint and decal application (YS Paint standards), and various BB standards (BB86, BSA, or T47). Ensure they can provide 3D CAD drawings for approval before mold opening.

Always request a pre-production sample for destructive testing and stiffness evaluation. Utilize third-party inspection services (like SGS or TÜV) to conduct a Final Random Inspection (FRI) before the balance payment is made. Focus on checking for carbon fiber layup consistency and paint finish durability.

When sourcing via Made-in-China.com, look for Audited Suppliers with at least 5 years of experience. Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), including the cost of mold amortization for private designs. For bulk orders, aim for a 10-15% discount on the unit price if the volume exceeds 100-200 units per SKU.

Ensure the supplier uses double-walled corrugated export cartons with custom-fit EPE foam internal packaging to prevent compression damage. For high-value carbon frames, it is highly recommended to ship via Sea Freight with LCL (Less than Container Load) or Air Freight for urgent samples, ensuring full cargo insurance is covered under CIF or CIP terms.

Use Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. To protect your designs, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and a Non-Compete Agreement before sharing proprietary 3D files or geometry charts with the factory.
