Rohs infrared light manufacturers

When evaluating IR lights, you must prioritize the wavelength (typically 850nm for high sensitivity or 940nm for covert surveillance), optical power output (mW), and beam angle. Ensure the supplier provides high-efficiency LED chips with a thermal management system (such as aluminum PCBs) to prevent light decay. For industrial applications, verify the IP66 or IP67 waterproof rating and the effective illumination distance to match your specific usage scenario.

RoHS compliance is mandatory for entering the EU market, ensuring the product is free from hazardous substances like lead and mercury. You should request a valid RoHS Test Report from a third-party lab (e.g., SGS, TUV, or Intertek). Additionally, for electronic safety and electromagnetic compatibility, check for CE (Europe), FCC (USA), and IEC 62471 (Photobiological Safety) to ensure the infrared radiation levels are safe for human eyes and skin.

RoHS IR lights are primarily used in CCTV security systems, machine vision for industrial automation, and medical therapy devices. For security, look for Smart IR technology that prevents overexposure of foreground objects. For industrial sorting, ensure high-speed switching capabilities and strobe synchronization. If the application is outdoor, the housing must be corrosion-resistant and capable of operating in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +50°C.

Focus on the L70 lifespan rating, which should ideally be over 50,000 hours. Calculate the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by factoring in energy consumption (lm/W efficiency) and maintenance intervals. Sourcing from Made-in-China.com allows you to compare Tier-1 manufacturers who offer bulk discounts of 15-25% for orders exceeding 500 units, significantly improving your profit margins compared to local distributors.

The most common risks include specification mismatch (wavelength deviation) and shipping damage. To mitigate these, always request a pre-shipment sample for spectrum analysis. Use Trade Assurance services on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the goods are verified. Ensure the supplier uses anti-static packaging (ESD bags) and reinforced cushioning to prevent LED chip failure during long-distance transit.

Negotiate based on component transparency; ask for the brand of the LED chip (e.g., Osram, Cree, or Epistar). Discuss MOQ flexibility—many suppliers will lower the MOQ for a trial order if you commit to a long-term procurement schedule. Always clarify the warranty terms (ideally 2-3 years) and confirm if they provide free replacement units for a certain percentage of defectives (usually 1-2%) to avoid the high cost of international return shipping.

Ensure the HS Code (typically 9405.42 or 8541.41) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays or incorrect duty applications. For urgent small batches, Air Express (DHL/FedEx) is preferred for its speed, while Sea Freight (LCL/FCL) is more cost-effective for bulk orders. Verify that the supplier provides a Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and Certificate of Origin to facilitate smooth customs clearance and potential tariff exemptions under specific trade agreements.
