Safety card manufacturers

For industrial or maritime use, safety cards must be tear-resistant and waterproof. I recommend PVC, PET, or synthetic paper (like Yupo) with a thickness of at least 0.3mm to 0.76mm. If the cards are for aircraft or public transport, they must utilize fire-retardant materials that comply with FAR 25.853 or equivalent flame-resistance standards.

Depending on the industry, you must ensure compliance with ISO 7010 (graphical symbols), ANSI Z535 (safety color coding), or ICAO/FAA regulations for aviation safety cards. For cards used in the EU, ensure the inks and coatings are REACH and RoHS compliant to avoid hazardous substances.

Prioritize UV-offset printing or silk-screen printing to prevent fading under sunlight or harsh lighting. A matte or glossy lamination (film coating) is crucial to protect the text from oils, chemicals, and abrasion. For high-end applications, specify rounded corners to prevent delamination and user injury.

The layout must follow a logical sequence of actions using high-contrast pictograms. Multilingual support is often a legal requirement in cross-border trade. Ensure the supplier provides high-resolution vector files (AI or PDF) for proofing to avoid blurred icons which could lead to safety hazards.

Request a pre-production sample and cross-reference the symbols with the latest ISO or national safety standards. On Made-in-China.com, you should look for Audited Suppliers who have experience in printing regulated safety materials to ensure they understand the legal weight of accurate iconography.

Focus on plate-making costs and volume tiers. Since the initial setup (CTP) is expensive, unit prices drop significantly at 5,000+ units. Negotiate for free storage or staggered shipments if you have limited warehouse space but want to lock in the bulk discount rate.

Safety cards are heavy and prone to corner damage. Insist on shrink-wrapping in bundles of 50 or 100, placed inside double-walled corrugated export cartons (K=K). For international sea freight, request pallets with edge protectors and a moisture-proof inner liner to prevent humidity damage during transit.

Use Secured Trading Services provided by the platform to ensure payment is only released after third-party inspection (such as SGS or Intertek) confirms the quantity and material quality. Always define the Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL 1.5/4.0) in your proforma invoice before making the initial deposit.
