Soft fridge magnet manufacturers

When selecting soft fridge magnets, the primary material is usually flexible rubber magnets combined with a surface layer. For the surface, PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is the most popular for 3D embossed effects, while synthetic paper or art paper with film lamination is better for high-resolution CMYK printing. Ensure the magnetic backing has a thickness of at least 0.5mm to 1.0mm to provide sufficient magnetic force to hold up at least 2-3 sheets of A4 paper.

Since these products are often used in households and handled by children, they must meet strict safety standards. For the US market, ensure compliance with CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) regarding lead and phthalate content. For the EU, products must pass EN71 Parts 1, 2, and 3 and comply with REACH regulations. Always request non-toxic certification for the PVC or silicone materials used.

To ensure long-term use, the surface should have a UV-resistant coating to prevent fading under indoor lighting. For printed paper magnets, gloss or matte lamination is essential to provide water resistance. Check for die-cutting precision; the edges should be smooth without burrs or magnetic dust leakage, which indicates high-quality manufacturing molds.

A capable supplier should offer OEM/ODM services, including custom die-cut shapes, 3D micro-injection molding for PVC, and Pantone color matching. For promotional buyers, look for suppliers who can provide individual polybag packaging with custom backing cards to enhance the retail value and brand presentation.

Magnets are classified as 'Dangerous Goods' for air freight if the magnetic field strength exceeds specific limits. You must ensure the supplier provides magnetic shielding packaging (using iron sheets or specialized boxes) and a Magnetic Inspection Report to pass airline security. For sea freight, this is less of a concern, but moisture-proof packaging is vital to prevent the paper surface from warping.

Soft fridge magnets are low-value, high-volume items. To get the best ROI, aim for an MOQ of 1,000 to 5,000 units to amortize the mold setup costs. Negotiate for a unit price reduction of 10-20% on repeat orders since the mold already exists. Always use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading Service to protect your payment until the goods pass inspection.

Due to the high weight-to-volume ratio of magnetic rubber, air express can be very expensive. Sea freight (LCL - Less than Container Load) is the most economical for orders over 100kg. If you are in a hurry, consider Sea-to-Door (DDP) services, which simplify customs clearance and include all duties in the quote, providing a predictable landed cost.
