Strida folding bike manufacturers

When sourcing these unique triangular-frame bikes, prioritize the 7000 series aluminum alloy frame for an optimal strength-to-weight ratio. Ensure the drive system utilizes a Kevlar-reinforced grease-free belt drive, which is a hallmark of the Strida design for low maintenance. Verify that the folding mechanism uses high-quality magnetic clips and locking pins that can withstand at least 5,000 folding cycles without loosening.

For the European market, the product must comply with EN ISO 4210 (Safety requirements for bicycles). If exporting to the USA, ensure compliance with CPSC 16 CFR Part 1512. Additionally, look for manufacturers with ISO 9001 certification to ensure consistent production quality and CE marking for electronic components if sourcing the electric (EV) version.

The bike should weigh between 9kg to 11kg to remain competitive in the portable market. Evaluate the 'push-along' capability when folded, which is a core selling point for multi-modal commuters. Request data on the maximum load capacity, which should ideally be at least 100kg (220lbs), and ensure the adjustable seat mounting system accommodates riders from 145cm to 193cm.

One of the primary advantages is the grease-free belt, which should have a lifespan of approximately 50,000 miles. Disc brakes are standard; ensure they are mechanical or hydraulic disc brakes with easy-to-replace pads. The tires should be high-pressure (up to 100 PSI) to minimize rolling resistance on urban pavements.

The Strida design is iconic; therefore, you must verify the supplier's licensing agreements or patent rights to manufacture and export this specific triangular geometry. Request a Letter of Authorization if they are a distributor, or proof of design patent ownership if they are the manufacturer, to avoid customs seizures or legal disputes in the destination country.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on volume; for example, aim for a 15-20% discount for orders exceeding 100 units. Negotiate for spare parts inclusion (e.g., 2% extra belts and brake pads) within the initial FOB price. Always use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading Services to ensure payment is only released upon confirmation of shipment and quality.

To prevent frame scratches or alignment issues during transit, insist on double-walled corrugated export cartons with custom-cut EPE foam inserts. Since these are high-value items, choose FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over the freight forwarder and ensure marine cargo insurance covers the full replacement value of the shipment.

Hire a third-party inspection agency to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). The inspector should focus on a folding mechanism stress test, brake sensitivity checks, and a paint thickness gauge test. Do not release the final 70% balance until you receive a passed inspection report and a Bill of Lading (B/L) copy.
