Urine glucose strip manufacturers

When sourcing urine glucose strips, you must prioritize chemical stability and sensitivity. Ensure the strips utilize the Glucose Oxidase/Peroxidase (GOD/POD) method, which is the industry standard for high specificity. The detection range should typically cover 0 to 2000 mg/dL (0 to 110 mmol/L). Crucially, verify that the manufacturer complies with ISO 13485 (Medical Devices Quality Management Systems) and that the products carry CE marking or FDA clearance depending on your target market's regulatory requirements.

Request a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) for each batch and inquire about the interference resistance, particularly against high levels of Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), which can cause false-negative results. A high-quality strip should have an anti-interference layer to ensure accuracy. Additionally, check the color chart precision; the color blocks on the bottle must be printed with high-fidelity inks to ensure the user can clearly distinguish between different glucose concentration levels.

Urine glucose strips are highly sensitive to moisture and light. Ensure the supplier uses desiccant-integrated caps in high-density polyethylene (HDPE) bottles. The standard shelf life should be 18 to 24 months when unopened, and 3 to 6 months once the seal is broken. For B2B buyers, it is recommended to request vacuum-sealed aluminum foil pouches for individual strips if the product is intended for low-frequency home use or clinical kits.

Yes, most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. This includes customized color charts, private labeling on the bottle, and varying strip dimensions. You can also request multi-parameter strips (e.g., Glucose + Protein or 10-parameter urinalysis strips) if your clients require a more comprehensive diagnostic tool. Ensure the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for customized printing is negotiated upfront, usually starting around 1,000 to 5,000 bottles.

The biggest risk is regulatory non-compliance. Medical devices are strictly regulated; if the supplier lacks the proper Export License or if the product isn't registered in the destination country, customs may seize or destroy the shipment. Always verify the supplier's Business License and Medical Device Production License on Made-in-China.com before proceeding with payment.

Urine glucose strips are temperature-sensitive. You should avoid shipping methods that expose the cargo to extreme heat (above 30°C) for prolonged periods. For large orders, specify 'Keep Cool and Dry' handling instructions. It is advisable to use Air Freight for high-value medical reagents to minimize transit time, as prolonged sea freight in tropical climates can lead to reagent degradation.

Do not negotiate on price at the expense of reagent quality. Instead, negotiate based on volume tiers or long-term supply contracts. To secure the transaction, use Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after you have verified the shipping documents. Always request a pre-shipment inspection by a third party (like SGS or Intertek) to confirm the batch meets the agreed-upon sensitivity specs.

You will typically need a Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, and a Certificate of Origin. Specifically for medical goods, you must also have the Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), as the chemical reagents in the strips may be classified under specific shipping codes. Ensure the HS Code (typically 3822.00) is correctly declared to avoid tariff penalties.
