Walking stick rubber tip foot manufacturers

B2B buyers should prioritize Natural Rubber (NR) or Synthetic Rubber (SBR) blends. Ensure the material has a Shore A Hardness rating of 60-70 to balance flexibility with wear resistance. For medical-grade applications, verify that the material is Latex-free to prevent allergic reactions and complies with REACH or RoHS standards for chemical safety.

A high-quality tip must feature a built-in metal washer (steel insert) at the base of the internal cavity. This prevents the walking stick shaft from piercing through the rubber over time. Additionally, look for deep-tread patterns or suction-cup designs on the bottom to ensure anti-slip performance on wet or smooth surfaces like tile and marble.

Walking stick shafts typically come in standard diameters: 16mm (5/8 inch), 19mm (3/4 inch), and 22mm (7/8 inch). You should request suppliers to provide a tolerance range of ±0.5mm. It is recommended to source from manufacturers who offer universal fit designs or multi-size molds to cater to a broader retail market.

Standard tips are for lightweight support, while tripod or 'self-standing' large base tips provide enhanced stability and allow the cane to stand upright independently. For high-end medical sourcing, ensure these larger bases use Pivoting Technology to maintain full surface contact even when the stick is at an angle.

Request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) focusing on the 'Durometer Test' to check rubber hardness and a Salt Spray Test for the internal metal washer to ensure corrosion resistance. Always use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released after quality verification.

For the US market, ensure the supplier is FDA Registered if the tips are marketed as medical device accessories. For the EU, a CE Marking and a Declaration of Conformity (DoC) under the Medical Device Regulation (MDR 2017/745) are often required for Class I medical accessories.

Since rubber is a commodity, negotiate based on raw material weight and mold amortization. If ordering over 10,000 units, ask for the removal of mold fees and request customized blister packaging or private labeling (OEM) included in the unit price. Aim for a tiered pricing structure where costs drop by 10-15% as volume doubles.

Rubber tips are high-density and relatively heavy. For small trial batches, International Express is viable, but for bulk commercial stock, LCL (Less than Container Load) Sea Freight is the most economical. Ensure the supplier uses moisture-proof inner packaging to prevent rubber degradation or blooming during long-duration sea transit.
