Wall mounted rfid reader manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize frequency compatibility, typically choosing between 125kHz (LF) for basic access or 13.56MHz (HF/NFC) for high-security encrypted data. Ensure the device supports standard protocols like Wiegand 26/34 or RS485/OSDP for seamless integration with existing controllers. Additionally, verify the reading distance (usually 3-10cm) and IP65/IP67 waterproof ratings if the unit is intended for outdoor installation.

For global trade, verify that the product carries CE (Europe) and FCC (USA) certifications to ensure electromagnetic compatibility. If the reader handles sensitive data, look for ISO/IEC 14443A/B compliance. For high-security environments, prioritize readers that support Mifare DESFire EV2/3 or HID iCLASS encryption to prevent card cloning and unauthorized access.

The housing material should be IK08-rated anti-vandal or ABS flame-retardant plastic depending on the risk level of the location. For wall mounting, check if the supplier provides a backplate or mounting bracket that fits standard electrical gang boxes. If installing on metal surfaces, ensure the reader has anti-metal interference technology or use a spacer to maintain optimal read range.

Yes, look for 'Smart' RFID readers that offer PoE (Power over Ethernet) to simplify wiring and TCP/IP or Wi-Fi connectivity for direct cloud communication. Professional B2B buyers should request the SDK (Software Development Kit) or API documentation from the supplier to ensure the hardware can be customized to work with specific attendance or security software.

Always request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) and a functional test video of the specific batch. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone third-party verification by SGS or TÜV Rheinland. Request a sample unit first to test compatibility with your local frequency environment before committing to a bulk order.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on volume; for example, aim for a 15-20% discount when moving from 100 to 500 units. Negotiate for OEM/ODM services, such as silk-screening your company logo on the reader faceplate, which is often free for orders exceeding 200 units. Ensure the warranty period is at least 24 months, as electronic components may fail after seasonal temperature changes.

Ensure the supplier provides the correct HS Code (typically 847190) to avoid customs delays or incorrect duty applications. Because these devices contain sensitive circuitry, insist on anti-static packaging and double-walled corrugated boxes with foam inserts. For urgent projects, use Air Express (DHL/FedEx), but for bulk inventory, Sea Freight (FOB) is more cost-effective for large quantities.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after you confirm receipt of the goods. Avoid direct wire transfers to unknown accounts. Clearly define the Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) in the Proforma Invoice (PI) to have legal recourse in case of a high defect rate.
