Wedding invitation card manufacturers

When sourcing wedding invitations, the choice of paper stock and printing method defines the product's market positioning. Common high-quality materials include 300-500gsm specialty paper, acrylic, and vellum. For printing, foil stamping (gold/silver), laser cutting, and letterpress are the most sought-after techniques. Ensure the supplier uses FSC-certified paper to meet environmental standards and verify that acrylic edges are polished to prevent injury.

Color deviation is a common issue in printing. You should request the supplier to use the Pantone Matching System (PMS) rather than CMYK for critical brand colors. Always demand a pre-production sample (PPS) for physical approval. For bulk orders, ensure the supplier uses the same batch of paper stock to avoid slight texture or shade variations between different production runs.

For international trade, products must comply with regional safety regulations. In the US, ensure the inks are non-toxic and lead-free (compliant with CPSIA if applicable). For the EU market, products should adhere to REACH regulations regarding chemical substances in dyes and adhesives. Additionally, check for ISO 9001 certification to ensure the manufacturer maintains a consistent quality management system.

Intricate laser-cut patterns can be fragile. Ask the supplier for the minimum line thickness they can achieve without the paper burning or tearing. For high-volume orders, verify if they use high-speed CO2 laser machines to ensure clean edges. It is recommended to perform a 'shake test' on samples to see if any delicate parts of the design fall off during handling.

The biggest risks are moisture damage during sea transit and corner crushing. To mitigate this, insist on vacuum-sealed plastic inner packaging and the use of 5-layer corrugated export cartons with corner protectors. For transaction security, always use Trade Messenger on Made-in-China.com to keep all communication records and utilize secured payment terms to protect your deposit.

Wedding invitations often require high levels of customization. Negotiate for a lower MOQ on the base cardstock while paying a premium for specific printing plates. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 500, 1000, 5000 units) to understand the economies of scale. Many professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com will offer free digital mockups before you commit to a paid physical sample.

Since paper is heavy but not overly bulky, Sea Freight (LCL) is most economical for large volumes (over 200kg). However, for urgent wedding seasons, Air Express (DHL/FedEx/UPS) is preferred despite higher costs because it offers door-to-door tracking and faster customs clearance. Ensure the supplier provides a detailed packing list and commercial invoice with the correct HS Code (typically 4909.00) to avoid customs delays.
