Wholesale candy stick manufacturers

When sourcing confectionery, you must prioritize suppliers with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and ISO 22000 certifications to ensure food safety management. For specific markets, verify FDA approval for the U.S., EFSA compliance for the EU, and Halal or Kosher certifications if targeting specific dietary demographics. Always request COA (Certificate of Analysis) for every batch to verify ingredient safety.

Quality is determined by moisture content control (to prevent stickiness) and color stability. Ensure the supplier uses food-grade pigments that do not bleed. The standard shelf life for hard candy sticks should be 12 to 24 months; ask for accelerated stability test reports to confirm the product won't degrade or crystallize under varying storage temperatures.

Professional suppliers should offer OEM/ODM services, including custom flavors (natural vs. artificial), bespoke shapes/lengths, and private label packaging. For branding, ensure they can provide high-quality gravure printing for wrappers and custom display boxes that meet retail shelf requirements.

Candy sticks are fragile; therefore, packaging must include individual heat-sealed BOPP wrappers to maintain hygiene and moisture resistance. For bulk shipping, require double-wall corrugated export cartons with internal dividers or bubble padding to minimize physical impact and vibration damage during sea or air freight.

For long-distance cross-border shipping, especially through tropical zones, it is critical to use reefer containers (refrigerated containers) set at 18-22°C with humidity control below 50%. Avoid shipping during peak summer months if using standard dry containers, and always include desiccants in the packaging to manage condensation.

Focus on tiered pricing based on volume; for example, a 1,000kg order should yield a 10-15% discount compared to the base MOQ. Negotiate for free samples (buyer pays freight) to verify taste and texture. Additionally, request a 'Quality Guarantee Clause' in the contract that stipulates a refund or replacement if the breakage rate exceeds 3% upon arrival.

Different countries have strict bans on certain additives. For instance, Titanium Dioxide (E171) is banned in the EU but allowed elsewhere. Ensure your supplier provides a full ingredient list (including E-numbers) and cross-reference them with your local Food Standards Agency to avoid customs seizures or costly product recalls.

Always use Secure Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure your funds are held in escrow until shipping documents are verified. For large orders, utilize Letter of Credit (L/C) or a 30% deposit / 70% balance against Bill of Lading (B/L) copy structure. Never wire full payments to private bank accounts.
